We got a reservation for our girls night out, not realizing it was a live band night. I was skeptical as often I don’t like live pub music, but the band was fantastic!!! Seems very popular with the locals, we were lucky to have an early reservation.

My friends and I stopped in for some drinks and the place was fine. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but the place wasn’t the biggest or particularly fun. Just kind of a small bar, with a chill mood. A nice place to relax and have a drink, but not really a place to party. However, I did talk to one of the employees and they informed me that the place during the day and evening is much more lively and really opens up into a full restaurant. But after 8:45 they close up most of it.

We’ve tried to “experience” this place twice. 1st time they were shutting early for a performance the next day. 2nd time we prepaid for tickets to a show, not knowing that we ALSO need to call for a reservation. So, we stood in a long line to be seated and when we were at the front told to step aside and repeatedly made to wait whilst others who knew the secret were seated. So, we left.

We ended up coming here by accident but we’re sure glad we did. The view alone was worth it on a hill overlooking the mountains and the ocean. The food was the best we had on the island and they ended up having live music that night which was perfect. The fish tacos and mahi mahi plate were some of the best we’ve ever had. Would highly recommend. Service was some of the best we had on the island as well. Here’s a view from the seating.

WORST. SERVICE. EVER. I mean, get another job if you obviously hate service so much…And, being a server and restaurant manager for over 30 years, we take care of service industry folks…The bartender was rude and unorganized. Who knew you can’t place a food and drink order at the same time ♀️ you’re also not allowed to order a drink from the bar while we waited for a table (I had a reservation) We stood there for 20 minutes, only to be seated at the bar anyway The band, Soul Kitchen was super fun Ann’s very nice, but I will never attend another event at Mulligans again, and I will definitely make sure my guests are aware when they ask for recommendations…if you’re here visiting: don’t waste your time here…Maui has many restaurants where the service staff are pleasant and happy to serve you…

Visited Mulligans today with a 630 pm res. Really can’t figure the negative reviews on this site. Million dollar view. Great food. Live music. Big screens for footballl, indoor and outdoor seating. Clean with a great comfortable vibe with staff obviously busy and hustling still having time to have a quick personal chat. Or in the case of our waiter, Richard, a song with the band while he took a break hustling tables. Reasonable prices considering your on Maui and very generous portions. Try the lava cake for desert. Seriously make a reservation, sit outside after sunset and enjoy. And to those that complain about this place, go to the mall, pay double for less, and say you went to ‘the big name’ place. Stay away from here. You won’t be missed.
