I really love the butter chicken here, as well as the naan. For the price of the lunch special, you get very good value. I also recommend the mango lassi. The restaurant is often understaffed, so service can be slow occasionally.

We are huge fans of Mumbai Grill. Good is always excellent and generous with portions. Try to Aloo Chana and Tikka Masala for sure along with some naan and a couple samosas! They are closed for dine in but definitely order from them – you won’t be sorry! Evanston is lucky to have them.

Cute but non-descript and very understaffed Indian restaurant in the heart of downtown Evanston. Large menu with both meat and vegetarian choices. Samosa was crispy and had flavorful filling. Chicken Tikka masala was savory and buterry. The dal was a miss. The garlic naan was crispy and super tasty. Service was attentive but very slow because there was only one waiter working in the entire restaurant. Recommended but allow ample time if you go in a busy time of day.

Love this place. Placed an order for pickup online, and unfortunately I was quoted 50 minutes, which wouldn’t work my plans. I called the restaurant to apologize and regrettably cancel my order, but they said they could rush the order and have everything ready by 6 o’clock (and even gave us a rice pudding for free)! They have great service, delicious food, and huge portions. My favorite is the vegetable biryani!

Delicious and authentic Indian food made to order of the spiciness you choose. Great customer service and attention. My husband and I went there and I ordered a dish medium spicy, but found it too spicy. The server immediately addressed it bringing me a milder version which was perfect for me. We love this place!
