Mumbo Gumbo PDX is not your ordinary Cajun/Creole restaurant. We offer dishes composed of high quality ingredients in large portions at a more than reasonable price. What really sets us apart is that we allow you to customize your Gumbo or Red Beans to fit your diet and lifestyle. Do you eat everything? We got that. Are you Vegan? We got you and everything else in between. Our Moda Center location at Cartside PDX Food Pod is our second location and we hope to offer more locations soon. Our original location is still alive and well in the Sellwood neighborhood so stop by and treat yourself.

“The Trinity” The flavor and the texture was exactly what I was craving. I think it is awesome to build your own gumbo as well.

Really good food but slightly inconsistent depending on who’s working. The Nipsey Hustle is really good!! The dulce de leche tea was super tasty. Customer service was so/so.

Wow wow wow!!!! I visited this place on the 28th of June and it did NOT disappoint! Brendon (owner) is amazing! Really personable, friendly, and sweet. I was in PDX during the heat wave and didn’t stop by till like 11pm, it had clearly been a tough day for just about every business in PDX but even though Brendon was busy and running everything by himself (all day!!!), he still did amazing. The food was incredible, I had the staple (large red beans and rice) and I cannot recommend it enough. It’s so hard to find good red beans and rice up here in the PNW, the quality is honestly comparable to the south. The banana pudding was also phenomenal, it was a great size and delicious. I’ve honestly never had any banana pudding that compared in quality. If you’re thinking of hitting up mumbo gumbo, you won’t regret it!

This spot is underrated and definitely is a must go to! Located in a cute spot surrounded with other carts. Order the Trinity gumbo and the Shrimp & Grits.

The cart pod is so nice! You can sit indoors or in the heated, covered patio area. I had the ~Trinity~ gumbo and a cold brew and it was fantastic. My family members got the same and also loved it! I’ll definitely be coming back here.

Bruh. The only flavor I tasted in this gumbo was pepper. There was so much pepper left at the bottom even afterward too. This is NOT Gumbo. This white-people level gumbo. If you understand, you understand

This place is pretty good…. Amazing gumbo and links but The nipsey hussle is a waste of money…. Cold shrimp on a cold bun… was really looking forward to it until I got home and realized it was basically shrimp salad on bread. Also they have different hours now… just rode my bike in the cold to find out they aren’t open… Amazing…

What a gem. Found this place on accident, after an event at the Moda center. Service was stellar. Got the traditional gumbo, with chicken and andouille sausage. Top notch. My wife got the banana pudding, also excellent. Open to 2 am, I’ll definitely need going there often.
