Murals on 54 is an excellent spot that can satisfy both western and Asian food cravings at the same time. On the one hand, their Shaken Steak was true to its name and had an even and thorough sear that enveloped a delicious and tender medium rare interior. The Thit Bo Steak Frites also didn’t take a back seat when dressed beautifully with the bone marrow butter. On the other hand, Murals on 54 offered more “traditional” dishes like their Saigon House Pho, Chicken Satay Skewers, and Spring Rolls. This culinary package, served in the historic Warwick Hotel, surrounded by beautiful murals is definitely an experience we would love to try again

Bad food, in this restaurant. I pass this review because the food is more bad than paid, all frizz and bad taste, my co-workers and I had no more options or time, so we had to return to the kitchen to prepare our food well, that bad taste and bad preparation nobsr changed with nothing, I write it because it is wrong that you pay for high price food and it is so bad, I write it so that they improve if they want to stay open, it is one of those restaurants that have very very burn service from the staff who works there, but the food is terrible, I never recommend it. My partner saw her vomit all night the shrimp that the poor photographer ate 🙁

Not recommended at all! The worst service i have ever had. The waitress was rude and disrespectful! I informed her my allergies specifically but was later recommended to have the satay chicken as starter which I could not have half of the ingredients in the marination.

I’ve been coming to this hotel for over 20 years. I understand COVID upsets business but I was shocked to see the menu so drastically changed. In an ambiance beautifully reminding of the early 1900’s the choice to go oriental is a bad one in my opinion. The Buddha burger was good as were the fries and garlic broccoli, but that was the only item on the menu that appealed. Too bad. What a shame for such a beautiful place

We are staying at the beautiful Warwick Hotel and decided to order from Murals. We received the call in our room that our order was ready for pick up (no room service). We immediately went to the restaurant, picked up our order and returned to our room. The spring rolls and calamari were very cold. It also took almost an hour for our food, so given how cold it was I can’t help but think that it was prepared right away and then forgotten. Soooo disappointing.

Had a friend staying at the hotel so we ate here for dinner. Food was not good at all and choices were limited. Bathrooms were really nasty, which is never what you want in a restaurant. There was also a crazy loud jazz duo playing all through dinner. I love this kind of thing, but at a normal sound level. We couldn’t even talk to each other and it was a shame as we hadn’t seen our friend in years and wanted to catch up. Our waitress was really good though and we met our friend for breakfast in the morning and it was much better.

My group and I highly enjoyed our time at Murals on 54. Service was excellent and the food was far from disappointing. The musicians were incredible; there was a guitarist and saxophonist. To sum it up we had a lovely experience, IGNORE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!

Me and my fellow BIPOC friends felt extremely uncomfortable in this restaurant because of huge murals portraying scenes of heroic colonizers and extremely sexualized indigenous people. The food was not good. We all had the pho and it was a rudimentary attempt at “Vietnamese fusion” missing entire flavors of the original Vietnamese dish and not contributing anything new. The meat was in huge chunks that were difficult to chew. The broth was flavorless. The noodles were undercooked. Oh and the bathroom had no soap. I will never come back.

We had an amazing night at Murals on 54 thanks to Carolina! The ambience was perfect for a group of professionals meeting for food and drinks. Highly recommend the chicken satay skewers!

Okay menu with solid preparation. Shame about the lack of veggie options. The Asian bend made me expect at least one tofu dish. No luck. Martinis were good. And the staff was a total dream, in their friendliness and efficacy.
