Think the TV series “Cheers”. Murf’s is our “go to” bar & grille for a drink at a welcoming bar, an easy supper with friends, to watch a game, and to enjoy events like karaoke, comedy, live music, trivia. If you want a true “Lawrence” experience, this is a comfortable, fun atmosphere with personable staff who care, serving great daily food and drink specials. Try the burger basket Mondays, the Taco Tuesdays or the Chicken Fried Thursdays among many amazing daily specials by icon chef Ben. Stop by and enjoy old school hospitality. Murf’s is the Lawrence version of a true neighborhood Irish pub.

Tiny little spot that pleasantly blew my mind. Totally enjoyed the 80’s type vibe and good bartender, but the food was the highlight. BBQ pulled pork sandwich had surprise flavor and the house made sauce that was on it, devine! Asked for extra BBQ sauce and when it came out almost sent it back thinking it was honey mustard, but hold the phone… that sauce hits just right and is fantastic dip for the fries. Bought some extra to take home Excited for the plenty of other food items for us to try there the next time we come through Lawrence.

Typical bat/pub. Only had baseball on tvs, not a big fan. I’m sure I would have a blast had it been Chiefs. Had catfish. Huge filets. Hush puppies were really good.

Party of 3. Pulled pork sandwich was fantastic. Salad was fresh and plentiful. The hamburger was juicy and great. The service was quick and friendly. Nice spot for lunch.

Food was good as always. Cinnamon’s service was exceptional. Paul has really made the former Conroy’s Pub into his own place over the past year. I am glad to have this be the place our monthly lunch group calls home. Keep it up, Paul, Cinnamon, and the rest of the Murf’s Pub staff! 🙂

Went to downtown Lawrence to have dinner, but some jolly old elf was causing all kinds of ruckus at 9th and Massachusettes and was being hoisted off the top of Weaver’s Department Store by the entire Lawrence police, fire, and ambulance services…So I went to Murf’s Grille instead… call it Serindipity, because the open faced roast beef and gravy over mashed potatoes and Texas toast was delicious! I’ve gone back to Murph’s several times since, trying different food/drink offerings each visit. I especially enjoy their ‘comfort food’ selection and specials, a plate of perfection each and every time! And a most welcoming place, owner, staff and fellow patrons. And there’s always something fun going on (Comedy, karaoke, group painting,… The list goes on). I would definitely recommend your stopping by and giving them a try! You won’t be disappointed!

The best pork tenderloin sandwich I’ve ever had. My husband had the catfish and it was the best catfish he’s ever had! Great atmosphere and service too. Our son had so much fun playing the games. We will definitely be back.
