I really wanted to like this place, I did. The service was fantastic, the interaction with employees was amazing, the food though, not so much. I did go an hour before closing, so maybe that’s my fault- everything was cold and the chicken was soooo tough to eat, I literally had 2 bites and had to stop I was so exhausted from chewing. The macaroni was flavorless, the potato salad was okay, but the waffle fries were the best thing we had. I got the burnt ends and they were just okay. Grateful and appreciate the ma & pa style, but we will not be back.

They parked at my job and we were all excited to get BBQ for lunch, they were supposed to draw a winner for a free lunch and they never did. A couple coworkers and I brought this up on their post, going as far as tagging them in our comments. We didn’t get any acknowledgment. If a company pays you $300 to use your services and you’re also making quite a bit of money from the employees buying your food, you should hold up to your commitment regarding the post. I know it isn’t a huge deal being that it was just a free nacho or sandwich, it’s the fact you wanted likes, shares and comments on the post for promotion and you didn’t even select a winner. For this, I rate you a 1.

Super sweet and helpful staff. The food is excellent! We went twice in a week because we enjoyed it so much. Classic BBQ selections along with some interesting options. I had the BBQ split the second time visiting and it was excellent! I highly recommend getting some sort of combo plate cuz you’ll want to try a little bit of everything.

Been taking my family here about once a week recently. They’ve been much busier than they used to be, so that’s good. Still amazing food and friendly service. Always saying hi to my one year old and making sure she’s got everything she needs. Which can be a big deal depending how your kids acts in public.

Holy cow was this delicious! We came in for an early 40th birthday dinner for me, as I wanted to try something new. Both of us were in love from the first bite! I had the split, and every single item from the rib to the brisket to the mac n cheese was amazing! She had the pulled pork sandwich with a baked potato and devoured every bite! Will definitely make the trip (from Springfield for me, Bluffs for her) for this again!

Very pleasant place. The lady behind the counter invited us to eat even though we showed up at 6:50 and they close at 7. We offered to go somewhere else but she insisted it wasOK. My husband had all you can eat rib tips and I had shrimp. It was very good. We will be back.

We stopped after seeing the pictures others had shared. Had the meat sampler platter with coleslaw baked beans and cornbread. Added burnt ends. Everything was very good and smoky. Loved the Carolina mustard sauce as well as the holy habanero. Don’t worry about the street view picture, it’s not a Casey’s anymore! Just walk in and let the delicious smoky smell make your day.
