My father was born and raised in the UP and every summer we would visit friends and relatives. Of course, we ate our fill of pasties while in the UP. My Dad Nick’s pasties bring back some wonderful memories. I have not had a better pastie! First time customer, but most definitely I am now a regular customer. I had the hot beef pastie, pop, and gravy for $10-lunch special. I am anxious to try the coleslaw as it was sold out when I purchased my lunch. This place is a must, especially with fall and winter fast approaching.

Had these pasties last week and have to say being a pasty maker myself these are the best I’ve had other then my homemade ones of course. The crust was excellent and tasted just like mine and the filling ingredients were very good also. Good job!!!

Ok. The beef pasty you see in the picture I attached was SO FREAKIN GOOD! The beef was not overcooked and was very flavorful, the veggies and potatoes complimented the beef perfectly, and that pasty crust was so flaky, buttery, and delicious – I mean it was beautiful! Maybe buying them hot & ready on a chilly day helped, but oh my gosh! The best! Highly recommended! P.S. the coleslaw was creamy and yummy too!

I was delighted to find the old Weldon’s Pasty store now open. I really like Weldon’s, so was interested to see this place is now open. I bought 2 beef pasties – one for a co-worker from the UP. We were both pleasantly surprised. Very tasty pasties. I have tried many pasties from all over and these rate highly. My co-worker and I agree that a) the pastry crust is a bit too thin and greasy, b) no carrot! Only rutabaga and c) they are too round. I come from Cornwall, so am a little more critical – I’ll be back for more! Thank you!

Oh. My. God. It’s been quite some time since I’ve had a true U.P. pasty……and these were excellent. It’s great that you have a good choice to choose from (beef, chicken and veggie), but also can get them hot, cold or frozen. We got the beef hot and cold since they had them in stock and the hot beef was delish…..everything in that you’d expect from a U. P. pasty. Prices were good and customer service was great! Highly recommend.

I have been coming here for years and loving it since it changed hands from dad to son. I have said it is the best pasty place in Michigan however….. Today I purchased 2 pasties… today is the 12th of September I didn’t even eat Them. I don’t know if you changed your recipe, your beef or what but I did not care for them at all..they taste like fish….!!!!Sorry
