I came here due to reviews saying the Chicken & Waffles are great and I’ve been craving them for a while. The atmosphere was small, warm, & cozy. The staff are very nice and polite. I did not expect the cornbread and biscuit but the minute I tried them, I knew I was in a special place. I came on a Sunday noon brunch. There was a guitarist and vocalist playing music. Also, the owner greeted all the customers. I never had that hospitality before so that was a wholesome experience. As for the waffles. The Chicken, Waffles, & Sweet Tea are perfect. Highly recommend. I will come back here. Thank you.

This is certainly a hidden gem. From the music, to the employees, to the food. We had a blast! It’s certainly a vibe! Everything that we had was tasty, no complaints. We do wish they had more of an alcohol selection but that’s okay. They’re also fairly new so I’m sure they’ll be making updates etc.

First time at this place! We had a 1pm reservation for two people. I’ve got to admit that the the decor, music and everything in between was pleasant! The staff was attentive and welcoming. The food was superb! Definitely will come back again.

My daughters and I left here happy. We were in the area for the weekend, and while strolling in the neighborhood, we found this gem. Our experience was memorable from the moment we walked in until we left. At our table were cornmeal fried whiting, perfectly seasoned candied yams, delicious mac and cheese, excellent tasting collard greens, flavorful salmon cakes, falling-off bone bbq ribs, and bbq chicken.

Came to eat here on a whim , Sunday at around 12:30. The service was really great and the food was even better. The 4 of us shared 3 entrees and Left satisfied !! The atmosphere was so nice and there was live music . All the food we ate was super enjoyable . We got the chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits and short rib and the cake was really yummy too. Would definitely recommend and return here !

Where do I begin… From the warm welcome walking in…to the awesome waiter imani ( i hope I spelled it right) … the decor 10/10, the music and atmosphere 10/10….. the food was delicious 20/10 and the owner Adrian To take the time and come and introduce herself was the icing on the cake… If you are ever in the area stop by you will not be disappointed!! What an amazing experience. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, but elegant. The food was INCREDIBLE. The fried whiting and fried chicken had incredible coating, perfectly crisp but the meat was still juicy and delicious itself. The biscuits, cornbread muffin, Mac and cheese, short rib with gouda grits, and collard greens were perfect. The candied yams were a perfect addition to add a little sweet to the savory flavors. I would definitely recommend and will be back again for more!

like everyone says the food is great but also like most of the comments you will see the issue is with service. On my most recent experience, I placed an order with Marcus for pick up at 4:12pm. The order was for 2 chicken and waffles one regular one vegetarian. Marcus said to come 20-25 minutes for pick up. I showed up 35 minutes after because I know they tend to be a little slow and I still waited an additional 20 minutes! There was only one other party of 2 people in the restaurant! Why that long of a wait? What makes it worse is not one person in the entire restaurant apologized or even acknowledged the fact that I had been waiting so long. However one of the two women eating mentioned the fact that I had been waiting a while even though there was no one else in the restaurant and the other woman mentioned that their food also took a while. Another young man finally came and handed me my food said absolutely nothing, no “thank you” .. not even a “here you go”. $60 later, I get home only to realize that the vegan chicken wings that I have ordered 2x times were not those same wings at all but rather these thin slices of what I’m not sure. When I called to ask what happened to my order they explained that they ran out of the wing version/skewers but that it would taste the same. It absolutely did not. And it being fried as a thin slice made the texture chewy and not that great. Why not just tell the me you ran out? Why did I have to call? It’s just not a great way to treat the customer.

The atmosphere here is homey. The service is marvelous. Benjamin was very attentive and helpful. At the time we visited there was live music. Vanessa and her guitarist was very entertaining. I give 4 for while it was good atmosphere the food took a while to adjust. The menu should have sodium level info. Good food too much sodium. The sweet was good Both my friend and I left blotted. She was nauseous. We ordered a little and could not finish. My recommendation is if you don’t mind much sodium it maybe okay.
