Wow!!! One of the best restaurants on Coronado. The Chef here is from Rome….why would anyone go across the street to the Garage (which is a chain restaurant) and not here?!

I was a bit put off when first seated, placed directly under a propane heater next to a speaker pumping DJ music. They were gracious to move the heater, and Diego was awesome taking care of not just us but the whole place. Very busy on a Saturday night, and the atmosphere was definitely the winner here. Potato croquettes looked beautiful and tasted fine but were barely warm. Quattro formaggi pizza had a great foccacia-like crust, and a nice combination of cheeses. Prosciutto was very good quality. Wine and drinks flowed like fountains, and a good time was had by all.

GREAT FOOD, which is really what we’re all looking for. The location is not what you expect it to be; they’ve added an outside dining area around the perimiter of the restaurant which can seem super cramped, but the heat lamps are really close too, so on a cold night you’ll be good. Drinks menu doesn’t show the beer, but they do have Modelo and a few other bottled options if you prefer that. Parking is super small, so if you’re staying at a hotel near by, I’d say just walk it. My partner and I had a few different dishes and they were all excellent, so I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with anything here.

Came to this jewel for my daughter’s 9th birthday. The service was AMAZING!! Everyone was super friendly and the service was exceptional. The food was delicious. We ordered the Calamari and Burrata, so fresh and good. Normally I don’t eat calamari because it’s chewy but this was crunchy and good. I ordered the sausage pizza, while the lasagna was on the other end of the table. After our dinner our server played the song Firework by Katie Perry, and bought my daughters birthday cookies out with a birthday sparkler in them with a sign that said HAPPY BIRTHDAY! She was super happy and felt very special. That was the first time a restaurant did something that unique, I absolutely LOVED IT!!! Check them out you will not be disappointed.

This is the first Italian restaurant we headed to. We have been there twice and loved it both times! On my first visit I got a plate of spaghetti with spicy marinara and two meatballs. Our waitress was amazingly attentive. She noticed I only got one meatball and had another one ordered right away. The meal was very delicious and the ground beef meatball definitely made it better. They do not give complimentary bread but we ordered a side of bread for 3 dollars and it went so well with our food. On my second visit I ordered a pizza with spicy salami. It was hot and burned my mouth but it tasted so good that I didn’t mind. Another pizza ordered was a cheese and ricotta pizza. Their pizza comes on a flat bread full of flavour. I highly recommend this place. They were so accommodating and we walked in both times and were quickly given a table.

The authenticity of the food here is magnificent. This is my go to place to eat in Coronado for date night. I was not only impressed with the food but also the atmosphere they create. The drinks were tasty, the servers were attentive, and the PappardelleBolognese is my favorite item on the menu.

We were feeling Italian for dinner, and we picked the perfect place. The service was amazing. We were seated right away, and made comfortable with a heat lamp. Our 2 servers Enzo and Solé were amazing. They were attentive and kind. They gave awesome recommendations and gave the most friendly conversation. The cocktails were beyond amazing. Thank you Enzo! We must kiss the cook for our strawberry salad, bolognese with a meatball, and saccotini with sausage and proceutto. All the dishes were made with the freshest ingredients. The pasta was crafted to perfection. We didn’t want our meal to end! Ended the evening with an amazing limonchello shot! Definitely will be on our list to return when we visit San Diego next time.

Really good food and amazing service. I mean amazing service. Worth saying twice. This would be a five star review if not for jamming tables into a tiny space to the point where you are rubbing elbows with other patrons and being constantly bumped by the (superb) wait staff as they try to serve their customers.
