We accidentally found the place as we were driving, honestly was looking for Arby’s but change our mind and look for something local and it was an amazing experience, The food is amazing, you’ll be getting a lot enough to last for 2 meals. The best Mac & Cheese I had and the pork roast and it was so tender. Love love the place!

On holiday in Ocean Springs and we always look for local favorites. Well this place is definitely a favorite with the locals! The parking lot was loaded with regulars coming to pick up their orders. Right now it’s take out only and you can call ahead or order from the lady at the door and wait for it. The owner was very proud of her business and explained the history of the name Nana J’s and informed us that everything is home made from scratch. We ordered ribs and fried pork chops with sweet potato, beans and the pork chops even came with delicious smothered rice.

We were headed home after a week’s vacation, getting hungry, I looked up “good home cooking near me” Nana J’s was the first restaurant on the list, so that’s where we went. I was not disappointed, I am a southern girl, I loved it, the mac n cheese, broccoli and cheese, and cornbread were devoured before I touched my pork chops…. My husband really enjoyed his catfish and fried okra. Both were very tasty and well seasoned. I had chicken wings and perhaps it’s a local thing and I’m from the east coast but all of the long feathers on my chicken turned me off.
