First time trying out this place and it didn’t disappoint.

So excited about this new location! I’ve been to the others a few times, but this is the perfect location for me. I always go for takoyaki and other appetizers, but I gave the ramen a go this time. So delicious! My husband tried the black garlic at the Bown crossing location and loved it, so I tried the tonkatsu ramen this time. It was perfect! I hope they stick around a long time.

Food and service were amazing! The only thing was my food came out way earlier than my husbands… as in, I had finished when his arrived, so that was kind of strange. Our waitress was great and everything was delicious, so definitely still 5 stars!

Overall not worth going to, I’d go to Fujiyama instead for some consistent quality.

I had spicey ramen. Came out too low of temperature yet noodles were over cooked. Pork over cooked. Broths not great texture lacking authenticity tasted like out of can flavors not right. Medium spice level came out 2/10 on real spice scale. Service kinda slow waiter seemed detached awkward vibe in the place lots of people working few guests yet bad service. For the price, would never consider twice. Honestly disappointed as I had been looking forward to try. Literally made me feel sick.

Second time at Nara Ramen but first in this location. But same experience. The ramen tastes very authentic but the amount and heat (temperature) of the broth remain inadequate. They need to serve ramen with A LOT MORE broth that’s PIPING hot! I had to ask the server to microwave my ramen for 2 minutes in order for the broth to be hot enough. I don’t know if the broth issue I’m pointing out is company policy but my experience is the same for both the State St. and Franklin locations. If they resolve this issue, this place deserves 5 stars. Next stop: Bown Crossing location.

Went for lunch and ordered Tori Paitan chicken ramen. Chicken was inedibly overcooked. Told the server who checked with the manager who’ said that was all the chicken they had. He offered another Ramen, which I declined as the dish overall tasted good but offered nothing after that and charged full price. Took my son’s leftovers without offering a togo box. I’ll eat at Ramen House from here…

Husband and I’s first time there. Love that they serve spirited beverages, the sushi is delicious, the ramen, the karaage, the gyoza, all soo good! Definitely recommend since they’re newer in Boise! Bringing my parents next visit!
