Restaurant address is on Merrick, additional parking is available in the back, just enter via Cartwright Blvd. Parking lot has different hour restrictions, read the sign carefully. There is a back door entrance to the restaurant. The restaurant is modern and clean. Service is very friendly and personable. Special happy hour from 5 to 8 pm for Monday and Tuesday for bites and booze. We ordered Pad See Ew which is noodles with chicken and Pla Rad Prig which is whole fish deep fried with pineapple. Noodles dish has plenty of flavor. The fish is very fresh, the sauce doesn’t overpowered and I can taste the sweetness of the fish meat. The spicy level are made to order. Their spicy is authentic Thai spicy. Be conservative on how much heat you can take. They can bring out more spicy seasoning to add more heat if needed. Restaurant owner wants to keep the menu simple and will change their menu. If you don’t see the dishes you want, just tell them, they may add your dishes later.

Originally posted on yelp 1/11/19. My friends and I have not had Thai food in so long. After reading over 5 different places on yelp we have chosen Nara Thai. We were greeted with a smile as soon as we walked in. The hostess was extremely kind and funny, and the place was super clean. It’s such a cute little small place and we had to wait 2 min to be seated, it was fantastic. The food came on time, and THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS. I honestly loved their food so much and we will ALL definitely be back. I really appreciate how clean these place was and that’s my #1 priority when going out to eat. They have met every part of my check list and I am super grateful that the staff was so nice and accommodating. We had Veera as our waitress/host ( I hope I spelled her name correctly) THIS WOMAN IS AMAZING. She talked with us, we talked about this restaurant, Thailand, and so many beauties of the world. She has a wonderful sense of humor and was so darn kind. I appreciated her so much and she is one of the main reasons to why my group had such a fantastic experience. We will definitely be back very very soon. Dessert was also amazing! I totally recommend you check them out! 11/10!!

Went to Nara Thai, a new outstanding, Thai family owned restaurant in Massapequa. Everything was fabulous, especially the Panang Curry, which was to die for, and the spicy crispy chicken! Went with my son-in-law’s Thai family who were all impressed with the authenticity of the food. Everything is freshly prepared, so expect a bit of a wait before you get your meal, but it is definitely worth it. They haven’t had their grand opening yet because they are waiting for the liquor license. Friendly service and all in all very impressed.

The first time I went to Nara, the food was great and the older guy who ran the place was nice. The first time I went back after it changed hands, the food was different than before but still good. The noodles were better than before. The next time I went back, the noodles were greasy and the taste was off. It was a huge disappointment. I gave them one more chance with some takeout and it was YET AGAIN totally different. They have zero quality control, ZERO CONSISTENCY. I miss the original owners, they had consistency and good food!

Just finished eating dinner here & it was great! I got the red Thai curry with tofu & it was spicy & delicious. Definitely the best red Thai curry I’ve had on the island. The server was very sweet & attentive & I asked her to alter my meal & she was very accommodating. I will definitely be going back!

My friend and I went here for dinner on a Friday night around 6:30. The place was mostly empty, but the woman that was in the front of the house was delightful and so smiley. I ordered the traditional thai iced tea (which apparently they get their tea delivered from Thailand!) and green curry with tofu (mild) and it was so flavorful and delicious. The service was wonderful and the food was some of the best Thai food I’ve tried. Definitely recommend you take a visit!!

Great food. I always order curry and am never disappointed. Lots of Gluten Free choices – just ask your server for advice. Cozy place with personable service but also good for take-out. Nice wine by the glass selection.

Its a fairly new restaurant – the food is really super delicious and we tried quite a few of the dishes there. The menu is well thought out and caters to a wide variety of Asian palates- not just Thai. The menu variety was appealing. It offers much more than just the curries. We had zaab wings and my 10 year old polished off the plate with nothing to spare. It was spicy but finger licking good. The house special – spicy crispy chicken was refreshingly different Thai food. The kids enjoyed the penang curry. At the end, we were stuffed happy campers. I am not the kind who experiments with new restaurants, but I am glad I did on this one. U wont be disappointed.

Having spent over a year in Thailand in the late sixties while in the Air Force I ate a lot of great local food, Nara Thai is so authentic it was like being back there. The owners are gracious and make you feel very welcome. Sawadee
