If I could get a zero I would. I asked for an Italian plant based combo and to add pickles and hot peppers and they give me a dry sandwich with nothing on it besides pickles and red pepper. The caliber of sandwich you get is unvaried regardless of the franchise you visit, and the Meriden location is no different with excellent fold and service. For my entire life I have trusted Nardelli’s to make immaculate sandwiches. Unfortunately, the Meriden branch has proven to change this expectation. After visiting for lunch recently, I was disappointed to simply not love my sandwich. It tasted, well, like any normal sandwich. Both the Middletown and Southington Branches have proven to bring something more than a “normal sandwich” to the table and I hope Meriden can figure it out soon because I sure have no idea why the different locations taste so different!

Just tried their veggie, roast beef and plant based Italian grinders for the first time and found the great reviews are well deserved. I think the grinder bread is as good as it gets and the ingredients in the veggie and roast beef sandwiches were top quality. I didn’t like the plant based ingredient (I think it was thinly sliced and seasoned beet) which was hard to chew.
