The food was really good, had the egusi and and pounded yam and the suya wings. Both were great. The pounded yam was a little weird from what Im used texture wise. Service was good as well. The small chops were not that great. Overall I had a good time no complaints. Side note if you come with a party they do not split checks

I attended Native on a Sunday night for my sister’s birthday weekend and it was EVERYTHING!! Her & my niece wanted to try something new but have a very low spice tolerance. The waiter, Adam, patiently explained the taste & contents of every dish they asked about and gave recommendations on what to try. The Smokey Jollof and Salmon stole the show for me. It was very Well seasoned, cooked to perfection, and fresh! 10/10 recommend!! The Ogbono stew and fufu was delicious in my opinion. Great portion and well seasoned as well! It was a bit too spicy for me niece. So the amazing manager, Jahirah, graciously offered to substitute it for the mambo wings which she LOVED and she threw in some crispy seasoned fries! The wings were perfectly seasoned, cooked well, and slide off of the bone. It was accompanied by a uniquely flavored ranch that my niece couldn’t stop talking about. She loved every bit!! Google won’t allow me to Upload the videos of the food, and the screenshots from the videos don’t do it justice. Go for yourself! I highly recommend Native. The food, hospitality, service, and atmosphere are AMAZING!!

There are two different chefs My preference is the weekend Chef. The egusi soup is on par with that of what I had while in Nigeria. The hookah during the week is around $20-$27 but on the weekend it jumps up to $60. I would recommend going to the restaurant to eat versus using a delivery service because it is almost 30% more than eating there. There’s a heavy cycle of Afrobeats music which is wonderful. Everybody seems to be having a good time in the environment and that I mention the food is really good. If you are not into spicy, you should probably ask what are better options for you. Because some of the food is pretty spicy and with no warning.

The BEST African dining experience in Brooklyn. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with “welcome home”. The hostess was polite and beautiful, our service was outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious. Amapiano was in full effect for our listening pleasure. I ordered the Egusi Soup and my husband ordered Jerk Roasted Half Chicken. During our one week stay in New York I visited this place twice! I will be returning soon!

Came here for date night on a Monday and loved the vibe. Our sever Zay was so sweet and great at explaining the menu items and giving us recommendations. We had the wings to start (jerk, Mambo & Suya) all were super flavor and well done just how I like them. For entrees we got the red stew with beef and the jallof rice with chicken. Both were great, extremely flavorful and the chicken was Falling off the bone. We also had the hibiscus cocktail which was very good. Overall 9/10 we will definitely be back.

I love the vibe here! The food is amazing. Hands down the best egusi I’ve had thus far. Our server Adam was very attentive and welcoming. My only complaint is the music was a bit to loud. Highly recommended 10/10 would visit again.
