Been here a few times during my visit, the staff are super friendly and welcoming. Additionally I got the Herb Roasted Chicken to go, and yall, it was SO GOOD. The Togo containers ar ehuge so the meal looks small, but it was incredibly filling and absolutely perfectly cooked. I highly recommend this place!

Hello everyone! This was my first time going to Native Son. The service was great. My husband and I went to get coffee and chat for a bit. We both got an Iced Caramel Macchiato with half & half and an extra 2 pumps of vanilla. (Yes, we do like our drinks sweet). Next time I would order it with 3 extra pumps instead of two, as it still needed to be sweet. I really like that they close late and have a chill and safe vibe to hang out at night.

Ate here for breakfast. The gravlax was very thick. Coffee was excellent. Would have liked a second cup. I was confused if this was counter service or sit down. This is inside the El Capitan Hotel. The space is open and welcoming. Staff was friendly.

The Chipotle Melt that I got at Native Son was honestly very good and can picture myself craving it in the future as well as the radish salad! Customer service was a little slow, but I completely understand because they were short staffed. In addition, their service was very nice and friendly, I hadn’t liked my mocha drink all that much and they replaced it with an iced caramel macchiato. Will return with friends and family!

Went out tonight to celebrate with colleagues. Our waitress, Gabi, was very friendly and attentive despite the ever-increasing crowds post-Merced College graduation. I had the tomato soup and we shared the large cheese platter and the charcuterie board. A decent selection of cocktails, wine, and beer. Very pleasant experience.
