Having grown up in LA, I remember Naugles from back in the day. Imagine my surprise to drive around the block from my house and see one just opened! We have been on the hunt for a good ground beef taco for a long time. Not a chain (taco bell, del Taco) type taco… But a good crispy taco. Boy oh boy this taco is amazing! The shell is perfection, so much Delicious cheese shredded the perfect size. We’ve been back 2 days in a row now.

My first time here and last time. Salsa was bland and so was the food. No special taste, no special sauce. The young gentleman who took my order was very nice and polite (green eyes). Had the type of personality that shows that he wants to help you and be the best. On another note, the person who seem to be the manager, was handling food without gloves, while the rest of the staff was wearing gloves. I understand that they were busy and that they are new…. But you should always wear gloves when handling food for the public or at least wash your hands were it can be noticiable to the public. Once my order was done, I brought it to his attention (the guy who seemed to be the manager), and he was very receptive/polite about the feedback.

We’ve been to the other locations and had high hopes for this one. It did not disappoint! The woman who served us was friendly, and our order was perfect. Freshly made, generous portions—I was debating if I needed two or three tacos, and two was more than enough. Dining room was clean and there is plenty of seating. Parking is easy at this location too.

I normally don’t write reviews. But the gentlemen at the drive thru service tonight was just the sweetest. He was so polite, was intentional, and elevated the restaurant. I wish I got his name, he always used “my pleasure” after every request. I work in clientele service and it is about how you make people feel! He had a warm smile and a nice afro! I will be coming back!

If this restaurant can teach anyone anything it’s that even if your food is absolutely terrible and inedible don’t let that stop you from opening up a restaurant. This place is just as bad as the place that was there before, how extremely disappointing.

Some other guy was trying to compare this to authentic Mexican food, which I think is unfair. Compare it to Del Taco, instead. The food is better than Del Taco’s, but I think Naugle’s needs to work on how they run their restaurant. It’s newly opened, and they need to work on their infrastructure and get more reliable employees.
