I loved the pictures online and had to come in to try the food. It came out looking great but was bland and the birria dipping sauce was like water from a burnt pan. I will never be back. Me and my girlfriend both got a stomach ache from the food also that’s why I didn’t give two stars. It was small portions but looked great. After the first bite I felt tricked. Flavorless is an understatement. Beware the prices are high and the quality is low. We were there for 30 minutes and only one other couple came in to get a cocktail. By the way the staff was sad and didn’t seem they wanted to be there I don’t blame people in the neighborhood not showing up. I recommend any taco truck in Portland over this restaurant. Buyer beware you may get belly pain for testing this place .

Amazing food at a good price, and it has great presentation! The staff are friendly and have a great sense of humor. I was smiling while eating. Drinks are well priced and super good. The decor and ambiance are great too, I regret not trying this place sooner! Highly recommend!

Nayar has the best Mexican flavors in Portland. My partner and I have had at least a third of the menu, and we have never been disappointed. They almost always have mint on stock for truly incredible mojitos that will get you righteously toasted without the heavy sweets you typically expect with syrups and sugars. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the service is fast even when busy. The place is always clean, too. We purchase all our gift certificates for friends and professionals at Nayar, so they can experience the delicious haven it is. The restaurant has a lot of quirky, funny decor – whether you’re into that or not, that food will transcend you regardless. Lastly, they play music that will definitely set the tone for you – mostly Latin flavors (modern and classic), with the occasional random pop or rock hit. We are so grateful to have such an amazing local spot.

Dined in for dinner, showed up right after several take out orders had been received. Food took a while to come out but the flavors and taste were great. I appreciate the availability of take out ordering but at the cost of dine in orders coming out at a slow pace is a bit off-putting.

Unbelievable. I’ve heard so many great things about this place. I ordered the grilled fish tacos. I got 2 tacos that had literally 1 flake of fish on each. I complained to the owner and he said “do you want me to make you something else?” I said, you’d throw away a whole meal to make me something else when you could just add some fish to my fish taco? He argued with me. I will NEVER eat here again!! Horrible!!! The little white flakes are the fish!! Pathetic!!

This restaurant is handing out unsealed alcoholic drink containers to delivery drivers! Drivers, beware! Do not accept containers that are not sealed! Plastic wrap does not qualify! Has to be completely sealed. Your ability to earn income through delivery is not worth the risk of losing your license, going to jail, etc.

Hands down the best mole I’ve EVER had. The jalapeño poppers are amazing with the perfect amount of breading. Also highly recommend the fajita taco. Third time back and it hits the spot every time!
