Completely disgusted with this place. Our order was incorrect and the people that worked there were extremely disrespectful and nasty to my family when they were trying to explain the issue. We had to drive all the way back just to exchange the food. The food was disappointing, the rice was over cooked, chicken was not seasoned and vegetables were over cooked. They also barely give you any food, hibachi 88 would be a better option if you are looking for a hibachi restaurant. Terrible customer service and food. 0/5 starts would not recommend!!!

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at NC Japan Express. The food I ordered was not only overcooked but also incredibly bland. My attempt to address this issue by requesting a refund was met with utmost disrespect from Cary. This shocking display of unprofessionalism was aggravated by remarks about my age and the fact that I was with my mother. Instead of handling the situation with sensitivity, she insinuated that my mother hadn’t raised me well and labeled me as “too mouthy.” Despite our valid concerns, Cary refused to provide a refund and insisted on remaking the food. We tried to explain that this was essentially the same, since she would be throwing away the food we had brought back. This entire experience left a sour taste in my mouth, not only due to the unappetizing food but also because of the appalling customer service.

Love the food here! Never disappointed! Family favorites are hibachi chicken and crab rangoons. Always get friendly service and delicious food. Prices are nice for the portions. Will keep coming back.

The food was VERY bland…NO flavor whatsoever! The rice is hard and unseasoned. Portions are small and the steak was overcooked. The white sauce is plain and no flavor either. Also, way overpriced for the portion size. The server was extremely nice but I won’t be back and I wouldn’t recommend

I absolutely love this place! The noodles are delicious and it’s like ramen I love it, the vegetables are so good, 10/10 definitely recommend. So much better than any other Chinese or Japanese take out that gives the disgusting basic lo main noodles. they are also quick and friendly, the prices are nice too! lowkey I drive 30 min to Raleigh just to get this.
