Located inside The Warehouse Food Hall, Downtown Boise, Idaho; Neighbor Tim’s BBQ, ropes in the finest prime-grade meat. We then fire up our custom offset wood burning smoker and over the next 12- 14 hours, slowly burn natural apple and oak woods. Harnessing this low and slow method of smoking meat gives our final product a sweet and savory flavor along with that cowboy kick of spice!

Not their fault. As someone put it the other day this location is in the “food court without the mall.” I think it is probably hard to keep thing fresh and moist in this set up.

Two things I know about BBQ after living many places in the south. There’s a lot of places that claim to be the BBQ capital of the US and Boise Idaho ain’t one of them. That said you could look at for a very long time and not find better smoked meats than this local Boise favorite is serving up, and their sides ain’t bad either. I’ve lived on NC and spent many years in TX, both self described capitals of pit meats but neither have anything on the brisket and pulled pork I enjoyed at Neighborhood Tim’s. Some great rough chop cole slaw and baked beans sealed the deal. Round it out with some pickled onions and a sampling of their sauces and you’ve got yourself the making of a fine evening. And what? Great service from some friendly guys to boot!! Well there you go. Better gettya some soon Boise.

Delicious. We got brisket, smoked sausage, mac and cheese, potato salad, and baked beans. The meats and sides are bigger than you would think! The sausage, brisket and potato salad were the best in our opinion! We did not care for the baked beans but it could be personal preference. The countertop was messy with several dirty dishes left out, could be more appealing if it were cleaner up front.

Is great barbecue at an affordable price. Is love the brisket. I prefer brisket off the point. Although sometimes some of the stuff are not knowledgeable as to what the point is. To me when it comes off of the flat it can be a little bit dryer and not taste as good. Fat is where it’s at!

Although the food is superior. They opened at 10:30 and the brisket was not ready until close to noon which really sucks cause I waited for over 45 minutes and they weren’t very sympathetic about it. I couldn’t just go anywhere else. This was a office order and everyone wanted the brisket first bad experience here so hopefully it’s a one off.

From Lockhart, the BBQ Capitol of Texas, we stopped by to compare Brisket and sausage. Darn good, a solid 10. Enjoy!!! Sorry about the photo, the food went really fast…….

Had a brisket sandwich, cold, more than half fat, told them, said would do better.said dine in(?) Was a carport. Too expensive $15 for sandwich only, cold hamburger bun. Sauce watery. Spent $72 on 4 sandwiches, 1 small side each.

Best bbq I’ve ever had in Idaho. Coming from Texas I get super picky. But Tim’s bbq is 100% the real deal. Brisket is delicious and moist with a thick smoke ring and balanced smoke flavor. 12/10!

Very pleased with the food and service. Dined here with my Wife and the owner of Red Fox Visual (just across the street). Together, we had a Brisket sandwich, Barbecue Beans, Brisket and Rib platter, and a Brisket salad. Everything was wonderful and we’ll be back. This new location at 370 S. 8th St. Boise, ID 83702 is wonderful!
