I’ve been here twice and it’s been super great each time! The ambience and decor are beautiful and modern, yet the music is still fun — great vibes. The food is so good — I’m not one to try weird sounding foods but my friend ordered a lot of new things for me and all of it was surprisingly good. They also have vegetarian and vegan options! The staff is super nice as well. It’s a little pricey but worth the splurge!

This place rocks… I returned exactly one year after first discovering Neighborhood Sushi I was delighted to discover that the quality was as good as ever, along with outstanding service. Some of the best sushi I have had anywhere and you know I get around! Worth a detour, and I look forward to returning.

The location is difficult to find. The service isn’t first rate and they try to impose items and limit the features of the happy hour.

We got the lunch chef combo which comes with 3 nigiris. The snow crab roll and the yellowtail roll is a bit overpriced for quantity and quality. But the eggplant tempura was really good.

Great sake in a can! Unfortunately, the sushi was not good at all. Gotta have good, no great, sushi if you’re going to be a Japanese restaurant in Austin. Both quality, quantity and taste left a lot to be desired. More hype than substance? Perhaps. Would not recommend. For reference the sushi in attached pic was $60++

The fish quality here was really good. The hamachi kama was the best I’ve had in Austin by far.

I’m visiting my partner in Austin again and we found this great spot on SoCo. Was a little difficult finding the doorway (hint it’s around back in the corner). The inside was modern and simplistic. The service was great. The food was amazing. Was a little more expensive than what we originally thought, but it was worth it and will definitely go back next time I’m in town. Overall recommend highly, but if you’re on a budget, may be more of a special occasion type place.

We stopped in on it hot Tuesday afternoon to get a quick lunch and was not disappointed. The atmosphere in here is cool, literally. There’s an outdoor patio but it was 100° out so we opted for indoors which was pleasantly chilly but not too cold. The dining room is spacious with large comfy booths and a huge L-shaped sushi bar.
