Being Nuyorican, and living down in Virginia for many years now. There have been very few Puerto Rican restaurants, which is a happy welcome. The staff and atmosphere was great. The chef came out and spoke to us and asked if everything was good. The food was great as well. Will be going back again.

It’s hard to find a proper Mofongo in the DC area. The pork belly was seasoned perfectly and had a great texture. It was hard not to eat the meat first and ignore the plantains. We sat at the bar where we thought we would get better service but were often waiting for a refill. Plantains are very starchy, and they are hard to eat with just the ice in my empty glass. It was a good experience, but not a great one.

So lucky to have found this hidden gem! All I can say is wow!!! The place is clean, very well put together, amazing service and delicious food! The owner Ben was very welcoming and educated us on the menu. I was excited to see a local restaurant having authentic Puerto Rican food!! We typically travel for good Puerto Rican food and now we have this amazing place to go to. I had the mofongo and the flavors were amazing and you can taste the fresh ingredients. Highly highly recommend. You have gained a loyal customer and can’t wait to go back!

Auténtica comida puertorriqueña! Mofongo, sorullitos, carne frita, tostones, chicharron y Medalla. No se puede pedir más ná! For those who’ve never had Puerto Rican food before and want to try the real thing, this is it. They do a great job in that kitchen, bringing out our true flavors. Be patient with the servers and maybe a bit of a wait. It’ll be worth it.

Could not give them a zero. Definitely the worst Puerto rican food around. No taste at all. Arroz con pollo ( rice w chicken) with no chicken, pink beans that look like refried beans. Pernil needs more adobo, buy some at the local store is cheap. Overall- not a place to eat Puerto rican food, is not even close to it. This is arroz con pollo – see new picture

We were excited and drove 1 hr to try this place after seen it advertised on a Facebook puertorricans page. Sadly, wasn’t a good experience. Maybe they change the chef from 5 months ago. The mofongo was salty and extremely oily, churrasco without flavor and lots of black pepper. The empanadas were ok. Definetely the best was the mayo- ketshup sauce. The owners were nice, but our waiter was distracted. We don’t have many choices to eat PR food, and I guess this is not one of them.

Overall, not good. Burgers inedible. Cuban made wrong. $4 for a coke, and then overcharged for refills even though menu said clearly they were free. Pulled pork sandwich was bleh. On the upside, cheese curds were great. Good beer selection. Cheese balls were nice, but small portion for $8 (see pic).

I visited from TX. Fun energized environment and awesome mofongo!!! The wings were really really good. I think we ordered most of the menu and enjoyed almost everything they brought to the table. I had a great visit and its an inviting, accepting space.
