We enjoyed our dinner date at Neil’s this evening. The food was fantastic. The broiled walleye was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked. The marinated vegetables that accompanied our meal were incredible, with a delightful garlic dressing. My husband’s steak and shrimp were absolutely tender and delicious. The restaurant wasn’t packed, we had the room to ourselves because everyone else was enjoying the beautiful patio until the rain came in. Neil’s is worth the trip. We’ll be back again with our friends and family.

My wife and I had the most delightful dinner. The chef is amazing!!! The plate looked like something out of a magazine. Details, delicious, atmosphere, waitresses…. absolutely best place in Portage for sure. Crab cakes were so good with the sauce they have. The salad was like it was straight out of the garden.

What an exquisite find. The food was extraordinary. My sister and I shared the salmon and shrimp scampi! Both were perfect! The ambiance was second to none. I fell upon this place and by the time we left the staff and the locals made me feel so welcome that I felt like I lived there my whole life!!

I purchased a gift certificate a couple of days ago. I have no problem paying an additional charge for using a debit card but the staff didn’t make me aware. When I questioned the additional amount all I got was attitude.

We just had the SHRIMP PENNE and GARLIC BREAD – so creamy, so tasty – one of the best meals we have ever had! It was hard to not just gobble it up! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Neil’s Wine House! Also recommend the Taco Salad and Shrimp BLTs!

My husband and I stopped into neils winehouse Saturday fir a couple drinks and some delicious appetizers. I got the ahi tuna on a bed of greens and my husband got the always delicious crab cakes and a very fresh vegetable salad. We were so delited with our meal that we talked about it all the way back home. Now when I think of the ahi tuna I had my mouth just waters thinking about it. The atmosphere is so nice and calm. The waitress is very nice and atentative. And the cook is excellent. You can tell he takes his time with each meal and it shows. I can’t hardly wait to go back again.
