Ok this was such an amazing experience… Reminds me of being a kid and the places i used to go with my Familia… Nellos you blew me away from the antipasto salad to the house dinner salad with bay shrimp, then the Cannelloni followed up by the Salto In Bocca (Romana). Best meal i have had in years.

If you want a five star Italian restaurant in the Redding area this is the place. I ordered the seafood spaghetti I could tell it was fresh and cooked correctly. The service and presentation of the food at this restaurant is outstanding probably the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The appetizers and dessert are also the best everything was excellent. If you’re looking for a great Italian restaurant this is the place. I’ve eaten in the finest restaurants all over the world and nothing beats a good plate of spaghetti.

We visited Nello’s Place for a celebratory dinner, inviting a couple of friends. It has been many, many years since I had last dined here. We made an online reservation. Upon arrival at the restaurant, we were immediately greeted and our reservation was confirmed. We were sat and we ordered drinks, while looking over the menu. There was several servers about to attend to the guests. The restaurant had a fine dining feel, but also casual. We ordered and shortly after, anti-pasta was delivered. Then salads and soup. Finally our meals. The food was well presented and of good portion size. We all enjoyed the taste of our food. The service, atmosphere and food were excellent. Prices are higher than some places, but the level of service and quality of the food, in my opinion, is worthy.

I’ve went to Nello’s many times. I have never Been disappointed. The food has always been outstanding, and the service is the best! I took my husband here for his first time, and once again great food & service. He loved it! Pricing is resealable.I had their veal and he had the filet. The cocktails were great, and the sweet Moscato was delicious.

Anniversary date with my lovely wife and the food and service was fantastic. They give the ladies a rose at the end of the meal. They do get busy on weekends. Lots of fantastic menu items. Try something new .

This place looks like it hasn’t been changed since the 60’s. Arrived for a walk-in for 2. Host was short and rude, sat us without a bar menu. Server checked his cell phone while he was preparing our salad, table-side. He also left their giant salad cart right in front of the table for a good 15 minutes, blocking either one of us from being able to comfortably leave our table for the restroom. Luckily, another server moved it, so I thanked him for what should have obviously been done immediately.

I’ve been here two or three times before and the food is always been excellent I had the lobster with clams this time the lobster was way overcooked I can hardly chew it cut it. I’ve had this meal other times and it was delicious this time it was horrible!! And a waste of $70 I was very disappointed!! One other thing it’s way too dark you can’t even see the menu

My husband and I had the best date night here! The food was delicious. Amazing service. The owner Jim has put such love and care into the food and overall experience. We had the escargot, meatballs, lamb chops, veal Parmesan, and bananas foster. It was all so delicious. Can’t wait to go back.

Nellos is the classic Italian dining experience in Redding. Extremely friendly and attentive staff. All the Italian options are done very well. We definitely enjoyed our time there. Never felt rushed or hurried and everything was cooked perfectly.
