Nelly’s cantina style Mexican food is delicious. They have expanded, added a DJ and music to bring a hip vibe to the place. The drinks are full of flavor. The churros and Tacos are a must try. Everything is reasonably priced and quality has been consistent over the years.

I’m sorry but the food was not great. Ordered calamari and it was bland and the sauce was even blander. If that’s even a word. Ordered tostadas, they were awful. The taco shell was stale. I couldn’t even bite it. The chicken was cold. It wasn’t a authentic tostada at all. Not that I was expecting it but the bare minimum would of been nice. My wife ordered “chipotle wings” to her it taste like bbq. When asked they said chipotle bbq wings. Never heard such a thing. Drink was okay. Nothing spectacular. Please save your money and go else where. This isn’t it. The music was probably the only thing that was good. Honestly. If I could give no stars I would.

“Great tacos, but today we went with burritos. Ample size. Good ingredients and friendly staff. Mexican blanket seat covers and taqueria metal tables- all good here. They have expanded the menu and are looking to enlarge the dining area too. Three different sauces on a nice little serving tray so someone is thinking. I like that. ” From the fall of 2019.

I’m a mexican from Texas so my standards for tacos are pretty high. It’s so hard to find something THIS good on LI. I had the birria tacos which were AHH-mazing. Amazing service too. Support small business!

Ordered a birria burrito. It was okay-ish. The salsa had good flavor and the consume was not bad. The rest of it didn’t have much flavor though. General impression was grease, mush from the frozen crinkle fries and meh flavor.

Ordered and picked up 6 minutes away from our hotel an order of chicken tacos (3included) a steak quesadilla(nothing but steak and cheese) and a piece of cake. All was wet, nasty and disgusting. Cake was dripping wet and melting, quesadilla was not one full one… it was half ? Both tacos and quesadilla were soggy, cold and oily . Got a full refund from store after purchase. Unsalvageable food after spending 30 plus dollars…. annoyed is the main feeling. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone
