It seems to be a tradition. After landing at Love Field from a long flight, I go visit the staff at Nelson’s off of Preston to get a solid pour. Call me crazy, but I like to pair the deviled eggs with the Weller 107. It’s harder and harder to get a nice pour at a reasonable price. My wife loves the okra and the bison meatloaf is fantastic.

The steak was so well cooked, just like I like it. The sides are great, salad was delicious. There is a wine list or coffee. I will be back to try desert. I forgot to add they have a bar. If you like to eat early come check them out.

I’m not even waiting until I get home to share that I just had the most delicious ribeye here at Nelson’s. My husband and I were craving something/somewhere different. I found Nelson’s and saw the good reviews, so we headed out even though they were going to be closing soon after we would arrive. (We did call ahead.) We were a little worried coming in. It was very empty. Just 2 other customers and one was paying out. The decor was … non existent? I mean, it’s very clean, but the shades of gray and white are cold and uninviting. We decided to stay because we were hungry, the reviews were good, and it wasn’t ridiculously priced.

Traveling out of town my family n I checked out the reviews and it sounded great and we were not disappointed at all ! Brian was amazing!! The appetizers were delicious, steak was flavorful and my salad was fresh n the homemade dressings but nothing beats Brian’s hospitality!!

This is a regular spot for us. The fried catfish is the best in town. Their French fries are also! Another review mentioned the location as being so so. Yep. It’s not the best location around, but the food quality hasn’t disappointed us yet. We’ve been coming here for at least two or three years now.

Went there for lunch. The remodeled atmosphere is cute. I got the salad with shrimp and he got the salmon plate. The salad and shrimp were huge! Light and refreshing. His salmon was cooked and seasoned very well. Asparagus side seemed a little skimpy. Lots of shrimp in the gumbo, which was tasty but not too exciting. Feels like it should be full service instead of counter service, the cashier did let us know it would be full service soon. Not sure if their bar is open yet but we were impressed with the selection of nice whiskeys on display. Think this new place definitely has potential.
