The food was delicious. The apple dumpling was my second choice. They were out of cobbler but I was not disappointed by the apple dumpling. The tuna melt was flavorful the only change I would make is cutting the tomatoes so they were more bite size. Corn nuggets were yummy. The menu is one page with only a few options.

We love NC Inn! The Giant Cod Fish Sandwich is one of the best we’ve ever had! Emily is really the heart of the restaurant who expresses care for her customers even when the restaurant is super busy. Save room for dessert–while there are so many awesome choices, the BlackBerry Cobbler is to die for! Unfortunately on this visit because they were so busy, they had run out! Which should tell you how scrumptious it is.

Very pleased with my meal. The staff was very pleasent and checked on the tables often. And yes I tried the deep fried pickle’s they were great. Nice little restaurant and worth stopping for a meal.

This place is in such a cute little town. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. We went during a week day and it wasn’t too busy… our food was hot and freshly cooked when we got it which was a plus. The restaurant is quite out dated but it’s still cozy none the less. The only complaint is that the chicken for chicken sandwiches was definitely processed chicken and not freshly made. Would return again!

Not sure why there are bad reviews. We went tonight and it was very clean, great food and the prices were awesome! Yes the service was a little slow but it’s so cozy and nostalgic feeling and we didn’t mind, we didn’t get mad or anything. The fish was out of this world and the waitress was so sweet..

Very nice little place. The fish and chips were very good. The two people who waited on us were very nice as well. The only minor complaint (this is personal preference) would be that the coleslaw was overly dressed with dressing but it tasted very good. We will definitely come back here again when we are in the area.

Not the usually experience. We will not return. We were served on paper plates and had the choice of only 6 entrees. It was a busy weekend in Volant but you should of been better prepared as this will certainly chaise your customer’s away. We paid 12.00 for a chicken salad served on a chinet paper plate with reheated precooked chicken no fries the salad was no bigger than a side salad.

Absolutely horridly service all around. Waited to be seated for about 5 plus minutes ,two waitresses don’t even look up. Lots of people sitting and eating and waiting for food. Finally got seated and waited over a half-hour for a fish sandwich to split with my husband. Very greasy asked for ketchup and was totally ignored. Table next to us waited even longer for a turkey sandwich to share. Waitress had to resister and tables herself and once she was at register person just kept paying their tabs then the card reader for credit failed so she stayed at register even longer . People were leaving because of being ignored and waiting on food. The cook could only cook one thing at a time. Even locals don’t go here. It’s not very clean either. Ask the local shop owners where to eat. Don’t go here.

Great restaurant in Volant. Had their cod sandwich and it was delicious. Just the right amount of breading so you can taste the fish and not just the breading. Had the turtle brownie dessert which was yummy! It was the right amount of sweetness so you didn’t feel like you were over doing it.

Food was okay, atmosphere was very dark. We were surprised when we received the bill that 18% gratuity was added on. Service was good but for a party of 3 – I feel the customer should decide the value for the tip.
