This place was a very pleasant surprise. The staff were very friendly, and the food was reasonably priced. They have a wide variety of different options to choose from, almost too many. The Thai iced tea I got was very sweet and very tasty. I also opted for the bourbon chicken, which ended up coming out as a Chinese style barbeque chicken with noodles. It was really quite tasty actually, it was surprising how much I enjoyed it. The prices are solid, the atmosphere is nice, and it’s definitely worth a look if you’re in the area hankering for some Asian delights.

Literally the worst thia food I ever had. the smell was horrible for a phad Thia the chicken was boil slimy some kind cream souce. No flavor at all it was just boil noodles and slime chicken

It’s my second time ordering takeout from here and the first time was just “okay” not bad but not killer..:) I have one restaurant that I typically always go to because of its consistency of being good. But my go to was closed and I decided to come here and I ordered the sesame chicken combo and it was DELICIOUS!! And the rice was the best I’ve had in yearsss! Whatever you guys are doing please keep up the good work!!

Update 5/7/2023 – Still great food. They’ve taken down the COVID-19 barrier, but say they don’t intend to return to dine-in service. Their prices are on the higher side and they no longer include soup with their combos, so I dropped my star rating to 4. My wife and I started going to New Asian Star because we were hungry for Chinese food on a Monday night, when most Chinese restaurants are closed. We ordered Crab Rangoons, Almond Boneless Chicken Combo, and General Tso Chicken combo. Everything was either among the best we have had, or the very best. Choices are varied: white rice, chicken fried rice, or fried rice available for the same price, brown rice is an upcharge. Egg rolls or spring rolls. Sauces are excellent. Portions are generous. They are carryout only.
