This is exactly what divey Chinese take out is supposed to be. The chicken in the General Tso’s was crispy even after the drive back to the hotel. The egg roll and crab rangoon are fried to crispy perfection. I would definitely get take out from here again.

I had been of New China Star for years, ordering from there since I was in highschool over 10 years ago. The service has always been quick and polite. However in recent years the quality started to waiver. I would order my usual items and then find them unsatisfying. Lots of the time something just seemed off, some inconsistencies in the style of cooking or portions. Nowadays I received orders missing multiple items, and the restaurant only offers to take down a name and offer a free something next time. They never remember to write the name down so it’s just money lostm The last three times I ordered the pork was off. I mean Really Bad; my husband gagged from the boneless spare ribs being so rancid. I’m not sure what has gone wrong but suddenly the small problems have become very very big ones. I hope they can turn it back around, but I just can’t bring myself to order from here anymore.

Food is okay, the wonton soup tastes nothing like others I’ve had, that’s all my son eats and he won’t even eat it. I love the special house lo mein and it’s horrible, very bland like no other one I’ve ever had. Everything else is okay. We’ve ordered quite a few times.
