Worst experience ever ! I waited 1hr and 30mins last night to receive my order through Uber eats. My driver and I communicated while she was inside the restaurant . My order was placed 30 mins before my driver even arrived . Upon arrival my order was not ready. She mentioned that the restaurant had not even started preparing my order . I received my order and the jollof rice tested like a burnt skillet . The rice appearance was not burned however the taste and smell of the rice was horrible . Completely horrible . The Eba was distasteful. The only thing that was decent was the Pounda which doesn’t even have a taste . The egusi soup was decent with the exception of having a decent proportion of goat meat . The wait and inconsiderate preparation of the rice will not allow me to shop here again. Thanks

My first experience with New Era Catering was poor. I was looking forward to experience authentic African food, but due to the lack of organization and readiness my time was wasted. I placed an order, and I was told that I would be ready by a certain time, and when I got there they told me that they needed more time. I am a patient individual, so I waited. Then a few minutes went by, and I was informed that they hadn’t started preparing the food after I was told a few minutes. I value honestly; transparency as a customer and investor. Ultimately, I did not get to taste the food after taking a half an hour drive. I would say that they do have a great system if you want to grab and go, but the product needs to be ready. My honest opinion, they need to look at there business motto, and figure out a way to be more consistent; they do have the tools, but this time the execution was poor.

We were told our food would be ready at a set time. We got there and had to wait 45 minutes. The food we got was awful. The suya was fully wrapped so I couldn’t see they had given me mostly cabbage (seriously it was 5-6 tiny pieces of meat). The egusi soup was watery and the chicken tasted old.

I had to wait for 2 hours for food to be prepared and delivered. Also, the portion of rice is quiet small the amount. But I will say that the food tastes soo good. The jollof rice that’s I’ve tasted in Philly and their suya is also good.

Pls do NOT order catering services from this restaurant! Overall, the professionalism is not there: the food arrived OVER AN HOUR LATE, was unlabeled, and the owner struggles to take accountability for poor service. Learn from our mistake and believe the bad reviews!!

I ordered my food around 630p and currently at 830p we have not received our food. I wanted to try some authentic food but at this point, this is a complete turn off. Ordering off Ubereats it says at the most 45mins. Then to find out they have their own drivers. So why advertise on Ubereats if I have to wait til their driver has enough orders before he delivers people food. We finally received the food at 9pm. 2.5 hours I feel I’d a bit excessive for delivery. Now on to tasting the food. I never had any of this food to compare it to another restaurants buy taste wise, this was a miss for me. I did not get my fufu to eat with ny Egusi and I am hoping they rectify the situation or return my $5.16. The chicken that I was given must have came off of a Cornish hen bc it was very small piece. The chicken in my Suya was a hit or miss bc it was barely there. As I said I did not have any prior taste of other African/Nigerian food to compare it to so maybe the portion size of the protein was correct; but as far as taste goes- it was a total turn off and flavors were not there for me. Maybe I will try a different restaurant and eat in where I can get served hot portions but from this experience I don’t think I want to even waste my money. I am sadly disappointed and wish my family experience could have been more pleasant. Unfortunately my daughter wa so hungry I didn’t get a chance to take pictures but now having to fix her other food bc she didn’t like anything I ordered.

I gotta notification thru the Ubereats app saying my food was ready for pick up at 10:43pm. I arrived at 10:48 walked in the tablet said my food would be ready in 18mins. 18mins later my food said it would be ready in 14mins. I called the restaurant at 11:13pm a rude female told me my food was being bagged up & would be ready in 5mins then just hung up. It’s 11:33pm & I still don’t have my food

I was nervous to try them at first because they dont have many pictures up, the food is amazing! Best pounded yams and egusi soup. I would give them 4.5 stars because the portions are small for the price. Other than that the taste, I have no complaints 10/10. Give them a try!
