Very yummy! Watch out for the 15% service charge when you dine in. Server said it goes to their tip so you can factor it into your tip calculation.

One of the best places for truly authentic Chinese food in Oakland Chinatown.

A local favorite and the morning porridge/congee is quite good. The flat rice noodle/cheong fun was pretty solid as well.

This is a Chinese Chinese restaurant. As you walk in door you have your choices of duck served 2 or 3 different ways. Pork roasted or barbecue or spare ribs. Beef stew, lamb or tongue or tripe. Long or short Chinese donuts. Then there might be other dishes covered to ask about. This is northern style foods. Not so much seafood but excellent meat dishes. The added grace … they are open to 3am every day except Tuesday closing at 12 am. Service and decor are provincial Chinese style which means you are there for the good not a fancy decor. There used to be more late night restaurants but Covid-19 closed some of them.

We have been coming to this restaurant for over 30 years. We frequented this establishment during college, in our early adult years, when the kids were growing up and now. Food has been reliable, consistent and delicious. More expensive now, like all establishments due to inflation and maybe I’m more noticeable of the amount of salt they use since I’m older now. Nonetheless, our favorite dish has always been the crispy fried noodle chow mein combo. I love it then, my kids fight over it still and truly we will drive 40 mins for this dish. I highly recommend this place especially if you are in the area. Parking is tough but, it’s in Oakland Chinatown.

Nice restaurant in Chinatown Oakland CA, stayed open late, and I had dinner with my family. Ordered several dishes and we all shared. The chow main was good, the general taos chicken was not what I’m used it, the texture was a bit different. The fried rice was good. We got the house special, and the salt fish and chicken fried rice.

Open late, solid takeout, huge selection of food, great char siu – it’s got pretty much everything you’d want from a local Chinese takeout spot. Other restaurants in Chinatown do different things better, and I haven’t enjoyed every dish I’ve tried from here (their soups are a bit too salty), but this place wins for reliability.

We drove from LA to SF.And we are starving at 10pm! And this Chinese restaurant still open. We order Shrimp wonton soup and roasted duck with BBQ pork.It was very delicious. And the staff was very friendly even we cannot speak Chinese. Recommended 🙂
