I bought a pound of shrimp from them today and as I was eating, I began to feel sick. The shrimp were cooked a nice golden brown, but the batter was did not cook inside. I called the restaurant and the lady told me to bring them back and she will let me know what she can do. Well, a man assisted me when I returned and I told him about the batter and me getting sick. Not once did he apologize for me getting sick. He was only concerned about how many shrimp I ate and he asked what did I want him to do and I told him that I wanted my money back and I do not have to return. The resolve to the problem is to put the shrimp in the oven to make sure that they cooked throughout.

This is a small establishment offering take-out only. Fish, chicken, seafood and even turkey chops with fries, some soul food sides, coleslaw, etc. There is a small ordering area inside and a only few chairs in that small area, so it would be best to call your order in ahead of time. The food is good and the staff is usually friendly. There is ample parking along the street in front or in the area beside the building. Kind of tight for a wheelchair, but it can be done. I have never had a bad dish or experience here since the day it opened. Hopefully, you won’t either. Enjoy.

This food was hot delicious and the portion size was just right. The okra was season and crunchy as well as the perch the coleslaw was good also had a little vest to it which is always a plus but the highlight of my meal if I don’t say so myself were those delicious shrimp. Battered to perfection you can eat the whole thing because they pull the tail right off. I look forward ordering more items off of there menu. If you’re on the Eastside make sure you check this place out.

To be honest for a black owned restaurant I thought it would be much better than it is the turkey chops is like just eating skin from a piece of chicken no meat and the sides taste like they came out of a can I’m so disappointed I spent 21 on this meal smh I got an headache now I won’t be back and u can tell they fried the chops in the same grease as the seafood
