This place has an old school vibe that attracts a lot of regulars. It also has to be one of the most affordable menus in America. This is what a diner is supposed to be, large portions of good food for a fair price. Unfortunately many diners have abandoned this concept in favor of convincing themselves they are higher end restaurants than they actually are.

I got the biscuits & gravy with hash browns and a side of scrapple, it was great! Friendly atmosphere & great food. Would stop here again on a ride up or down the coast. Easy to get to from the highway too!

The waitress was welcoming and she took my order correctly the only little complaint that I have is that my t-bone steak was not cooked properly I asked for medium-rare but it was medium well and it also tasted freezer burnt and looked freezer burnt.. But I did overhear one waitress kept getting onto the cook for not getting some of her orders out correctly. Not sure what really is going on in the kitchen but I would investigate it if I was the owner. . I do give a plus for the portion of food you get for the price . I would stop again but I don’t think I’ll have any steaks here unless they can change my mind.

I ordered sausage and eggs with hasbrowns and fried onions. The sausage was a little greasy but otherwise the meal was delicious. Fried onions were still a little crunchy, and crispy, giving great texture to the crispy hashbrowns. The eggs were ordered scrambled with cheddar cheese, the eggs were served more in an omelet form with cheese melted on top. Our server was phenomenal. Attentive, personable, and energetic.

The Crab Bisque is delightful, especially on this cold day. The chopped steak was great. If it wasnt hand packed, it tasted so very fresh and all the toppings. Nicely steamed broccoli topped with melted cheese and refreshing unsweetened tea. Food and service perfect! Lost one star for a couple items on the menu not available. Thanks for a good meal!

We have been here a few times. It’s usually pretty decent and the one time it wasnt, the waitress with the most seniority did the best she could to fix the situation. Give them a couple tries, and make sure to ask what comes with menu items as you order as the menu is a little old and things have changed. After our less then perfect visit yesterday (again, the lead waitress did help to her best abilities), we came again today and a gentleman I believe to be the owner came and apologized to us and told us our meal today was on him. I felt really bad about being the complaining type yesterday and it’s clear the owners do care about their customers satisfaction. Try the French dip or any of their omelets. Delicious

Nice restaurant. Like the ones I remember from growing up. I had the S.O.S. and sourdough toast as well a omlete to go. I couldn’t have made a better choice. They add salt and pepper respectively but have it on the table for you to add to your own preference. Personally, I don’t care for alot of salt but like to make myself sneeze with the pepper. Add on the Chorizo and Tabasco and it was a done deal. Thank you for an awsome breakfast and friendly staff. Keep up the great work. (BTW, The S.O.S. was less than $10 and a good portion for this big boy too!)
