Overall good experience. 4 1/2 stars. Gyro was great, lots of meat and veg and the tsatsiki sauce was on point. Fries were a little oily and could’ve been cooked a little longer to be crispier. Service was great. Worth the money and I’ll definitely go back.

I’m originally from New York and wanted to look for a halal spot and found this place. I have to say the plates/dishes here are better than the stuff I used to find and eat at carts and restaurants back in New York. Will stop by for a meal whenever I’m close to Cedar Rapids. I live in Colorado and was in Marion on business for five days. I ate at New York Gyro three times! This is the best gyro I’ve ever had in my life, and I’ve had a lot of gyros. Don’t try to eat this thing in the car because it is absolutely stuffed with meat and you need two hands to hold onto it. I also tried the cheesesteak and it was just as amazing. The owner is fantastic and I love that he’s back on the grill, cashing customers out and flat out putting in the work to earn these accolades. Locals, tourists, business travelers, you have to eat here!!
