Had the NY style on my first visit here and it was really good. Tried the “Detroit” style tonight and while it was good, it wasn’t Detroit style as you can see in the photo. It’s Sicilian style. The guy working (possibly the owner) asked if I ordered the “Sicilian” and then I asked “you mean Detroit?” And he said yes that’s what it’s called here and Sicilian elsewhere. So yeah, a little disappointed for thinking I was getting a real Detroit style (cheesy edge and deeper dish unlike traditional Sicilian). Don’t get me wrong-it’s a decent pie, and the garlic knots are a 4 out of 5. They’d be a 5 out of 5 if they didn’t charge you for the marinara that most places include with the knots. $42 spent for the 2 items.

They are more than just a pizza place. I had their homemade tortellini made with the best olive oil and basil I’ve ever had in my life. Anywhere we’ve lived, we’ve found the NY pizza place as we have to get that fix with hubby being from NY. Unfortunately for a while, that meant driving to AA. When they opened here, we were ecstatic! Usually just got pizza, calzones, and knots. After trying the homemade pasta and the pumpkin cheesecake the other night, we definitely are going to expand our orders. We went to pick it up as we normally DD, but found out they take upwards of 20+% of their profit! Plus, the owner is so passionate about creating food and has such dreams for menu items if inflation, staffing, and other factors don’t stifle them. If you haven’t been by, please do so! We highly recommend the tortellini, both knots, Buffalo chicken pizza, and of course the XL pepperoni pizza!

Absolutely great NY style pizza. These guys use great ingredients and turn out a terrific pie. The crust has just the perfect bite. Friendly employees is the icing on top. Must be one of the best pizzerias west of Long Island. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

One of my all time favorite pizza places have so many memories of making trips to Ann Arbor with my brother to get a couple slices at NYPD; we were overjoyed when we saw there was one going in so close to us. This store is very clean, quick, and kind. I’ve ordered from there multiple times and every time I’m greeted kindly and taken care of right away. This time ordering, a very nice man offered me garlic knots on the house and I’m ecstatic he did because they’re outta this world. Long story short, 10/10 recommend

Wish they had dine in. We talked to the owner.. what a nice guy. While we waited for our pizza he let us try his pasta homemade cheese tortellinis w/ olive oil….. So good going to order it next time. While we were eating in our car he came out and talked w/ us and let us try his homemade cannoli. What a sweetheart! We’ll be back, maybe this summer you can put a few tables and bushes in pots outside so we can eat outside?

$30 for burnt, soggy pizza. No thanks. You looked at this and said “yup l will give this to a paying customer” had you talked to me about it we could have worked it out but instead you didn’t say a word so you wouldn’t have to remake it. Well it saved you from making many pizzas in the future too as I just moved across the street and eat pizza all the time.

This was our first time and the pizza was ready within 20 minutes. We got the 12’ supreme and it was amazing. The ingredients on it were very fresh and full of flavor. We loved the thin crust on it! Hands down the best pizza in the Howell/Brighton area. Can’t wait to try some more!

We’ve ordered from this location several times and every time the service and food have been more then excellent. There was one time the wrong pizza was made (still great qualityand now i have lunches for the next few days). I would not have called the store except my wife is allergic to mushrooms. He made the original pizza we ordered with no hesitation. We will be back!

Ordered through Doordash (NYPD). Order was accept and put in “being prepared” status. Dasher showed up to pickup order they told her to wait because they were busy. She waited like 20 minutes then they told the Dasher they never got the order. Had to cancel order through Doordash and get a refund. Food was good the first time we ordered.
