My husband & I aren’t from around here and decided to try this place out because it’s so highly reviewed. The atmosphere is great, plenty of parking and everyone there is super friendly and attentive. However, the menu is extremely limited and the food is nothing special. It’s not overpriced so it gets a pass but wouldn’t recommend.

Newhall Refinery was a great weekday lunch stop! There were a couple other customers, but no wait, and quick attentive service.

Great dining! Hits all the points our waitress knew what was goin on in the kitchen, had already tasted the dishes and desserts so she was educated about the flavors and how many were left of items. Clean, friendly place and I absolutely loved that the chef comes out to talk to customers and see how they are liking the meals. Been here a few times now and have not been disappointed. Everything I’ve tried so far has all been made in-house which is a big plus. Recommend making reservations online during the weekends seeing that this place does get busy and the food will let you know why!

Hip, culinary hangout in the cool part of town. At first glance, the beer keg handles dangling decoratively from the ceiling and the rough hewn wood throughout might suggest this is simply yet another craft micro brewery; NOT SO. The menu is smart and creative. The chef is a true professional. The dishes appear to be simple, but they’re packed with tasty flavors. The cocktails are planfully designed to suit a wide variety of tastes, sweet and refreshing (popular strawberry vodka drink) to well-balanced and sophisticated (old fashioned). The table staff are knowledgeable and friendly, if not a little rushed. Be sure to order a salad or appetizer as the entries are sized health-consciously. I’m looking forward to our next opportunity to visit.

The Newhall Refinery is a quiet little restaurant in old downtown Newhall. They have craft beer and burgers and also great American cuisine. We had the fries and crispy brussel sprouts for starters and the entrees were very diverse but everyone loved them. They even have a kid’s menu. Our server, Elysia, was top notch and I’d definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants a quick bite of delicious grub.

This is the best restaurant in SCV. I swear…every time I come, the food is better. And I have never had anything less than great service. The Kampachi ceviche and roasted beets are my FAVORITE. and the beer selection is the best in town, quality and variety wise. That wasn’t always the case here (I think there are new owners). Eat here.

Craft burger ($18) was tasty, but greasy. Fries were fine. Hot chicken sandwich ($17) had a lot of coating, but not a lot of chicken. Salad was good. The food doesn’t feel terribly adventurous. For a place in Newhall that charges these prices, it might be nice to have a seasonal menu or at least change things up now and then. Service was kind and friendly.

Was hoping for a nice meal, however when the salmon had fish bones in it. The server didn’t make any apology for it. Instead they said the hard pieces were parsnip. Should have been handled better than it was.

Had a craft burger ($18) and a coke ($3). Burger was good. Extremely tender and juicy. The meat fell apart just a bit. Medium rare was closer to rare, but wasn’t raw. Fries were ok.
