The food was okay but nothing special. I could probably make the same thing at home. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich, and it was missing the grapes and the provolone. The bread that it was on was good. The sweet tea seemed to be watered down. It didn’t really have a tea flavor, and it wasn’t sweet. The reusable cup was nice and I liked the beach vibe.

This place was ok for what it is, but not great. We ordered the salmon Caesar salad, portobello veggie pizza, and the chicken tortilla soup. All of the food had pretty good flavors but all slightly missed the mark in some way.

Standard sandwich, soup, and salad fare. Splenda sweetened ice tea is a nice touch. My daughter said loaded baked potato soup was amazing with bacon crumbles and fresh green onions on top.

Newk’s Eatery was a pleasant experience with one fault. The atmosphere was quiet and nice. The food we ordered was a Newk’s “Q” sandwich, which contained chicken, bacon, Ammerländer Swiss & white BBQ sauce, and the Pimiento Cheese sandwich, which contained tomatoes with yellow & white cheddar. Both dishes came with their Five Cheese Mac & Cheese as a side. For dessert, I had their Red Velvet cake. All of them were delicious, and I would come back for more.

I had the shrimp po-boy sandwich. It was delicious. My wife ordered the chicken salad but did not arrive with the cranberries and nuts as advertised. Large fountain drink with a reusable cup. Would eat here again.

The layout of Newk’s Eatery lends itself well to the to-go and the dine-in patron. One can enter through a separate door and select from the pre-made sandwiches and salads or go through another area to order for dine-in. Today I had the half shrimp po-boy and the 5 cheese mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese is fantastic. Creamy goodness topped with melted cheddar. A half order with a half sandwich is perfect. The sandwich was on 11 grain bread, which I normally don’t care for, but this had a nutty flavor that paired well with the shrimp. The shrimp packed a punch with flavor. It was served with onion, tomato and pickle. I will say that it was a bit dry and perhaps a sauce or mayo would enhance what is a great sandwich. My husband had the chicken tortilla soup, which was make-your-nose-run spicy and filled with chicken and crispy tortilla strips. He paired it with the cheesesteak sandwich. He gave the meat an average rating due to the amount of fat, but said it had good flavor otherwise. I’d like to go back to try the pimento cheese and bacon mac and cheese along with one of their homemade desserts.

We ate here today & We will be back A LOT! This place was super busy at the time we was in there but the service was good the food got to us fast & correct & for the food size received the prices are fair as well! if your in a rush check out my pictures of the grab n go section they have of soups n salads & cake to die for!
