So disappointing. Not what it used to be. The burgers were cooked really really well. The fries – oh my gosh horrible! Sweet potato fries were not edible and the French fries were soggy. You can tell they haven’t cleaned the grease enough. Clams were well cooked but the broth they were in had an overpowering flavor of green peppers.

You better come hungry if you’re thinking of eating a Monster Burger by yourself! With fried egg and ham adding to the 3lbs of beef, ohhh yeah, it took two of us to eat this bad boy! We were both hungry, so bring your appetite! We are definitely coming back for another burger!

A small but amazing cafe. The food they serve is over the top good.. Personally my favorite clam chowder in Newport.. The service is spectacular… Prices are great.. Every time we come to Newport it’s a must eat at least a few times.

Sorry that we came here for dinner after 4 1/2 hr drive from Crater Lake. My clam chowder was lukewarm, little flavour – I make better at home. Hubby ordered oysters & fries – oysters were soft & mushy, fries were soft, greasy and not fresh. Not recommended!

You better come starving, because the portions here are HUGE! We are visiting and after many hours on the beach the whole family decided burgers sounded good, I’m glad we chose Newport Cafe! Delicious burger and homemade fries! Service was very nice and attentive. The menu is huge and they serve very delicious looking breakfast all day. A star was taken away just because it’s a little pricey, more than what we would usually spend for a family of four getting burgers.

This is a little dive of a place that exceeded our expectations. The food was great and the portions were plentiful. Seems to be family-run and both dad and daughter were efficient and friendly. We got the halibut tacos, fried shrimp w clam chowder, and our teens got fish and chips and a chili cheeseburger. The batter on the fried items was SO good, way better than most fried food you’ll have elsewhere. The facility is small and kitschy and it totally works! I loved the personality of the menu, too. We liked it so much that we plan to return for breakfast tomorrow in our overnight stay in Newport.
