The gas station door opens. You see red metal Coca Cola tables and chairs leading to a bright white ordering counter. Behind it, the husband and wife team of Neza York are serving up CDMX classics. They warmly offer recommendations and laugh and joke with each other while preparing your order. They explain the dishes and the history behind the food. You sit down at a metal chair, slather jalapeno onion salsa on the tacos, pop open a Modelo from the coolers, and hear The Beatles “Don’t Let Me Down” over the speakers as you take your first bite. You relax, transport to Mexico City side streets, and slowly work your way towards a food coma. This was a good day.

I had a great lunch here. It’s not easy to find real DF style food in Texas, some places don’t even use real suadero meat, but Neza does it right. Order the tacos and quesadillas on corn.

I’m blown away. These are THE BEST tacos I’ve EVER had. I got 2 chicken and 2 beef and wishing I would’ve gotten more! They are filling and sooooooooo tasty. I can’t get over this place. They wrong for being so damn good. Coming back tomorrow for more. Que rico!!!

Amazing TACOS The meat was soft and very flavorful!!!! The quesabirria was just perfect soft and crunchy at the same time .. definitely worth coming back for.. The cashier and the cook was very helpful they have great customer service!!

I drove 25 miles to check out the hubbub, first experience was not good, my tacos had so much grease they made my tortilla soggy, i had a hair in one of my tacos. Sorry but i will not go back.

My fiancé and I stopped by on a quick trip to Dallas bc of the recent Texas Monthly feature and loved loved loved this place! From the homey vibes to the welcoming proprietors to the most amazing jalapeño onion yellow salsa, you can really taste the love in the food. Mexico City is one of my favorite places on earth, and this restaurant brought me back there in a heartbeat. The owner and his wife are sweethearts and clearly take a lot of pride in their work. Just wish we were local enough to come often, but we will definitely be making the trip from Austin again.
