The best banana pudding I’ve ever had. Same with the fried pickles. Service is next level. The atmosphere is welcoming and clean. Loved the onion rings and the baked potatoes were cooked perfectly. Really nothing even slightly negative to say. It’s definitely worth the stop, highly recommend.

Heard about this place from a friend so I stopped in to give it a try. Ordered the meal with BBQ ribs, fried catfish and fried shrimp. Comes with hushpuppies. Sides were cole slaw and Baked beans. Fried green tomatoes for appetizer. The ribs were excellent, tender n tasty. The house bbq sauce is great. The cocktail sauce for the shrimp was really good. The catfish were cooked perfectly. The baked beans were nice with a little spice to em. The fried green tomatoes were perfect. My server started out good but then forgot 2 items and she did not return for awhile so I had to get some help from another. Another server brought one of the items and they got my server’s attention to bring the other. When the food is good and the kitchen is doing their part, but the help is lacking(no, they were not busy), might want to tweek it. I’d return here to try some more of the food items offered if I’m in town. Hopefully my server will be more attentive.

Where do I start ? I guess I’ll start with the beginning. We drove to Carlisle to have Nick’s BBQ because we hadn’t been in a pretty good while and we wanted to see the new building. We was immediately greeted when we walked in and seated. We sat for over 10 minutes before we were ever acknowledged and asked about our drink order. Our waitress Jordon got our drinks then took our orders. Cheese dip and salsa arrived fairly quick , this was the best part of our meal. Food arrives about 15 minutes after we ordered. Immediately I notice my food looks extremely dry and boy was it. Worst BBQ I’ve ever had in my life. I can’t believe Nick’s has gone to this level of quality. Jordan came and asked how was everything and I told her I can’t believe how dry the meat is. She offered to get me different meats and I declined. My girlfriends fish was really good. The shrimp was bland so she didn’t eat it. After about 30 minutes Jordon came around and asked about refills , finally , this was the only time we were asked if we needed anything until we received the check. Speaking of the check , WOW !!!!

After 10 hours of driving I didn’t want a cold soul-less bbq pit stop. We pulled off the highway and the building was appealing especially with so many cars outside. Inside the atmosphere was homey, warm and inviting. The wait staff was friendly and patient. But the brisket… It was so tender and the flavor was rich and satisfying! I will plan to stop next time I pass through!

I had the chicken strips with fries and coleslaw. I really enjoyed the chicken strips a lot. They were tender, juicy and thick. Apart from the food, the service is good – not overpowering on customers but not following up on customer’s take comfort. I will recommend ordering appetizers as the food takes a while to arrive. Overall, I give this place a 4 for the love of the food.
