Took a friend out to Nick’s, telling her how good it was… but we ended up eating those words! Generally, the food is good but last week, I was very, very disappointed. My fish was so fishy I couldn’t eat it. My husband’s steak was so hard to cut, he had to send it back. They did fix him a new one that was better, but, on the whole, we were let down. Service was impeccable. We are probably going to take a break from this place for a while.

The food was actually good. The service was good. I have one problem. The menu says full rack of lamb. It had 3 pieces. Maybe 4 to 5 ounces of edible meat. It was amazing, but it was maybe a half rack. It was really good, but really disappointing.

Mediocre at best. We travel a great deal and Nicks is average to below average. Not the best rib eye I’ve ever had and over salted. The French onion soup with minute onion pieces and cheese that was not browned. 5 small pieces of asparagus as a side. Salad and bread were good then all down hill from there. The waitress was polite but very abrupt in her communications and actions. The check was presented while we were still eating and then asked if we wanted to pay before we were done eating. Just know there are way better places to eat in Cookeville.

We just had a large group of 19 people for a special birthday celebration. Nick’s is super accommodating. They let us in a little early to refrigerate a cake we brought in and set the table up with balloons, etc.

Great food, selection was ahh-mazing… server was very friendly and attentive! Hostess wasn’t so inviting and gave me a look when I said table for 1… very impressed with the food! All food Was fast 2 come out and had 2 ask to have entree held so I could eat appetizers and salad… but it was close 2 closing so I understood… would definitely recommend!!!
