Years ago we ate here and I thought it the best service in town. I’ve wanted to come back but it’s pricey so we haven’t. We decided to come for our anniversary. Such top tier service. Amazing food. The chef came by three times. They comped our dessert. Matt did a great job as server. Stacy gave us great suggestions. Couldn’t be happier.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Nicola’s. Everyone was so kind, helpful, and the food and service were magnificent. We called ahead, because I am gluten sensitive. The staff was all so kind. They had many options including breads and pastas. Audrey, our server, was very attentive and knowledgeable. They made sure my birthday was a night to remember. Thank you and a toast to everyone at Nicolas. We will be back!

My partner decided to plan an impromptu treat for us, due to the recent good news for our family. We tried this place due to the exceptional reviews on the tastiness of the cuisine.

Everything was 10/10. No complaints. I highly recommend the gnocchi and eggplant. The lemoncello cheesecake dessert was also great.

Nicola’s is an experience. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and were invaluable in helping us select items. Everything was made from scratch, which made all the difference in the taste. I had the mushroom soup and crispy gnocchi and both were delicious. Would recommend, especially for special occasions!

I wish I could give this place five stars all around however for the price you’re paying I expected things to be a little nicer. The bread basket was one of our favorite parts- it’s $12 and completely worth it. Our salads had a bunch of brown lettuce which was super disappointing. And our cocktail drinks took forever and were delivered after our salads. The potato dumpling entree was a favorite of all of us! Would definitely recommend sitting out on their patio if the weather permits. The wine list was extensive and had good variety.

I can say this place is my favorite after trying so many well known restaurants in Cincinnati. Food was great. Service was excellent. Our server Matt was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. We’ll definitely return soon.

So we went here as it was close to where we were staying. The atmosphere was great and we had high hopes. We ordered a scallop (fantastic) and some tagliatelle (also fantastic). However, the service was sub-par and it seemed we were bothering the waitress. Notably, we ordered some carrot cake and port as a dessert. The port was forgotten and the carrot cake was … Anemic? Not sure how to describe it. It cost $14 and was a sliver of cake (see picture). When we asked our waitress if the carrot cake slice was appropriate as it seemed somewhat small, she initially agreed and then came back and said it was a normal piece. This was like a quarter slice of carrot cake, if that. Just very frustrating end to a $200 meal.

Went here tonight for my 1 Year anniversary and I cannot say enough good things about it! I am celiac and they went above and beyond to accommodate a GF meal, printed our names on the menus, food was perfection, service was great, the list goes on and on. Will definitely make this a tradition for any future anniversaries. If in doubt, go to Nicolas! You won’t regret it.
