Delicious. Had the half duck special. Thought it would be half a duck but instead it was two while legs. Slight disappointment as there was no duck breast but it was very well prepared, served with Nikki’s slaw and asparagus, along with rice. The Grilled Salmon bento box was very well prepared also. Will definitely come back.

Man, I stopped by on a Tuesday, my family was walking down Front St when it started raining cats and dogs. We sought refuge in the doorway of this restaurant and was the best refuge we could ask for. It was immediately available with a wait time of zero minutes, AND it was free!!! Absolutely the best sushi restaurant I’ve been to in years, and I don’t even eat sushi.

Nikki’s never disappoints. It was my birthday today yay! I ordered Angle hair and firecracker roll and my husband ordered beer French fries with Avocado salad. The food always taste very delicious. It’s one of the few places that sells great quality Sushi in town. Darin was our server and he was making sure that we all set. He was very friendly and welcoming. I am glad I chose them to celebrate my birthday. I will be back soon!

Rolls were amazing! Got firecracker, K town and vanilla gorilla…..gorilla was the best. Brian our server was fabulous. He let us taste the sakes before deciding which one to get. We will definitely be back. So much better than the sushi lounge across the street.

First, and foremost, if you enjoy any kind of alcoholic beverage while dining, this is currently not the place to go. Apparently, they’ve somehow lost their “ABC” license (Alcoholic Beverage Commission of North Carolina). As a former nightclub executive (in a past life) it’s actually not difficult to suffer an aggressive ABC officer’s wrath when they may be looking to suspend or even cancel a bar’s license. So for this I’m especially empathetic to the plight of this lovely establishment as I will suspect they fell victim to typically aggressive ABC enforcement tactics. Nonetheless, be sure to call ahead and ask if their ABC license is still under suspension before committing to this venue if alcoholic beverages are also on your menu. As for the sushi itself, it was passable but not spectacular. More specifically, sushi rice is NOT supposed to be warm. Consequently, the last of the Nigiri sushi pieces on top of their rice below on our plates ended up warm as well. This simply should not occur. We picked this place because photos revealed a quirky cool environment and a menu that also featured atypical offerings (such as falafel) that actually made us smile and motivated us to give this place a try. So, and to be honest, we didn’t visit with highest sushi expectations anyway. But the discovery of no alcoholic beverages should have been a deal-breaker from the beginning (but we were hungry). Not returning.

We loved Nikki’s! We love all the different options! From burritos to falafel to burgers and sushi, Nikki’s has it all and it’s delicious! Lots of options for plant based diners, carnivores and everything in between. I had an excellent tempura tomato sandwich with sesame noodles. My husband had vegetable sushi and mom had tofu Caesar wrap. We also had mango avocado roll and veggie dumplings. All were fresh and outstanding. Our service was spot on as well. The place is small and cute but you’re not going to go there for the atmosphere. It also won’t break the bank, which is a nice change these days.
