Great place as I love their sister restaurant, X Pot, in Las Vegas. There was not quite enough food as I was not full at the end. I did get the Yakiniku tasting menu. Also, there were long waits between each grill during the meat grilling at the end. Our server grilled the first meat option then left and came back fifteen minutes later to grill the next set of meat and left for another 10 minutes then came back to finished everything else. There were only two of us but he had spent more time with other tables where there was a bigger groups.

Cesar our server was outstanding, the food came out of the kitchen not in our desired preference……sadly we cant recommend the steak as our order tried to arrive 35min after the sides.

Knew from a guidebook about this restaurant. You could enjoy a variety of seafood and beef dishes here. I came with my friends to try the set menu and steak here, and the service was very nice, with a waiter to introduce each dish and recommend how to eat it. Especially the A5 Wagyu beef dishes as the main course are very delicious. I recommend making a reservation to try the 45-day dry-aged Fullblood Tomahawk steak, which I feel is the best steak I’ve tasted so far.

This place was AMAZING! We came at the end of their soft opening. The restaurant was so well designed and the ambiance was perfect for a high end dining experience. Each table and booth felt cozy and private and it is such a great vibe for a date night or friends night out. The service was perfect too! Our waiter Wes made great conversation and took great care of us.

Went here last night for my birthday dinner. Dinner came out to $650 for the two of us and at that price point, service should be top tier. It wasn’t. I’m surprised Chef Shin Thompson held a previous Michelin Star & overlooked the service. I never write reviews but last night’s service really pains me.

I absolutely love this new restaurant in downtown LA! Grilled meat and rare seafood selection, Japanese style with a contemporary approach. Best yakiniku spot hands down. The meat quality is just insane!

Coming from someone who does a lot of fine dining, I am usually wary of restaurants with flashy presentations. Niku X was a wonderful experience with food that went above and beyond my expectations!

It s great place for Wagyu beef. It’s contemporary japanese style. It s difficult to pick the dishes because they are all looks good. staff are good. Good vibe place to have dinner. There is an A la Carte and tasting menu available. The entrance it’s like speakeasy. recommended to try for the Wagyu beef fan.

I found out about this spot through a YouTube video & it looked like a great restaurant. Just be aware to make a reservation you have to put down a deposit, which I did(cost depending on your party size). There are different types of tables too(a la carte, tasting & others) & I chose the Yakiniku tasting.
