Beautiful restaurant with great ambiance. Food is excellent with knowledgeable staff. Aaron & Tom went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Huge selection of Scotch and Bourbon.

Disappointed. Just left the restaurant and was completely unimpressed with the service to put it nicely. The meals were not bad, took forever but there was a large private party so I can understand. What disappoints is a server lying to you, completely unknowledgeable about food and drink and at some points, rude to the us. The meals are rather expensive and the food is ok so I would expect at least top notch service for this price point (given the quality). We have been there for a brunch and dinner and frankly will not be going back to try it again. Typically after dropping a couple bills on dinner a “good night” would be in order as you walk out but apparently the staff at Nina cannot be bothered.

We opted for this restaurant for a small gathering with out-of-town friends. Nina had been given a good recommendation and it was rated highly on Trip Advisor and Yelp. Unfortunately, we must have caught them on a bad night. They were understaffed and service was very slow. We started at the bar, but found the bartender inexperienced with basic drinks. Our waiter was friendly, but made excuses for slow service and menu items that were “frozen solid” or otherwise unavailable. On a positive note, the food was terrific, even though it took a long time to get to us.

It was ok. Waiter very nice. French fries had enough salt on them to choke a horse.

Great tasting food. However, during Sunday brunch the main item of my dish was cold and service was very slow. Couldn’t find the waitress half the time. Will try again because flavor was great.

The ambiance was beautiful, but that’s where it stopped. The bartender was rude and unfriendly, plus the cocktails were horrible. Once we got to our table, we waited 10 minutes for menus. Our server was lovely, but the service and attention weren’t on the level that I’d expect for $30 mains. I thought our expectations were too high until I heard nearby tables complaining about their cocktails and food. The fondue was a solid chunk, the Negroni & Old Fashioned tasted terrible and the rest was either over or under cooked. We left with a +$130 bill and heartburn.

This used to be a five star place but the past year or more has seen it slowly deteriorating. The food is still pretty good although at least half the time meat ordered isn’t cooked properly. Today a medium steak showed up so raw it was actually COLD inside. This has been our experience the last few visits here. The service has been awful. Having to ask for bread, having to find your server to get a drink refilled. Tonight we were asked for our order and we asked if there were any specials. The waitress didn’t know – and then finally after we just stared at her for a few moments – she offered to go and find out “if we wanted”. This has been how it’s been here for a while now. Last month I waited 45 minutes at the bar for a drink because I was told there was a party in the back and they were short staffed. There was only one other person at the bar…you couldn’t pour me a drink? Weird. Last visit we arrived fifteen minutes before dinner opening and there was a cartoon PENIS drawing on the reservation table. Yes I get that we were early for opening but still… If a place is going to charge prices like Nina’s then it HAS to be ABOVE average in service and quality. Sadly our favorite go-to restaurant will now become a “went-to”! We’ve given it a ton of chances hoping the problems were the EXCEPTION but they aren’t. This is what they are now. What used to be the best restaurant in Orange County now probably isn’t even the best restaurant on the block. It is with great sadness we say goodbye to our once favorite place.

When the restaurant first opened it was very good and you didn’t think about coming there on a Friday, Saturday without a resurvation! The food, waitstaff, attention to detail were something you might get at a high priced restaurant in New York City! The atmosphere and cleanliness of the place was also to be admired about, the drinks and prices were reasonable! But I don’t know what happened, as time went on I noticed a change, the food, the service seemed to dip far below minimal standards! I just thought to myself “oh well, it was good while it lasted” and never went back. A few weeks ago I saw a commercial on TV about the restaurant, it had been just over a year since I’d been there and thought maybe things have changed. I arrived at 6:30 with my date and was immediately greeted by the waitstaff, and seated at a table. Oddly enough, we were the only ones in the restaurant. I thought “maybe were just early” and took advantage of having a dining room all to ourselves. When we got our menus my hopes of a turnaround diminishes when I was given the very same food stained menu and no change to there food lineup!! Our appetizers looked like they were thrown together with a taste value of bland. Our main course was equally distasteful. I immediately order my check and apologize to my date! So sad the atmosphere there could be so nice!
