We went here and had the Cheese Pizza and Caesar Salad. The Pizza was decent but did have a lot of oregano on it. The salad came with warm bread and was fresh and flavorful. The service was timely. Inside the ambiance is nice, but a little old.

I have ordered pizza here twice this week. Being new to Princeton, we needed to find a place that we loved to get pizza from. First off the owner is such a nice and personable man. He chats with customers and treats everyone like he’s known them for years. The staff there, are always polite and kind and I have never noticed anything but great service. The pizza is one of a kind. I ordered plain cheese, and the crust is so good so perfect. And the sauce is sheer perfection! I couldn’t imagine eating any other pizza around!

This place to be honest has the best pizza I’ve ever had. The texture is perfect and the taste is even better. With the pasta, their salads are super quick and super fresh, especially the lettuce. And the pasta itself just tastes the best, with all kinds of flavors working together along with the texture of the pasta. The staff is nice and the atmosphere is pretty good! Would recommend.

I ordered take out, when I got home I noticed I was given the wrong order. I called them and they said they also noticed their error and they would not honor a refund until I brought it back since it was another customer’s order and they were on their way to get it. So I drove 10 mins back, gave it back and recieved my refund. Moments later they handed the food that I had originally in my possession to the other customer. I was a bit baffled that they did not just make a brand new pizza and just discard the one that I had. (I attached a picture of the return with the broken seal to this review.)

Garbage pizza, idk what it is but I just ordered one plain pie and a two liter. The man charged me $27 with no receipt. Tastes horrible, I dunno how to finish it, not worth the money I think he overcharged me, idk if they reheated someone else’s order or if it’s supposed to taste this way. Either way, disgusting.

When I saw the negative reviews on here I was disturbed. This pizza shop is owned by a person my father has known his entire life. He (Nino) provided jobs for local high school kids, and is always incredibly friendly, the food especially the cheesesteaks are supreme. If you want an authentic Italian experience at a fair price(this is Princeton ain’t anything cheap) come here. I consider it a place you must try at least once. I HIGHLY recommend the Buffalo chicken pizza, or a large pizza with pepperoni and onions! My family has been getting food here for over 20 years and so has the entire Princeton university community. we’re not gonna tolerate any slander of such a great place to eat! I’m hungry just thinking about the food at Pizza STAR. I lived here almost 40 years and know for a fact if you go here and there are any issues; Nino will work with you, so the negative reviews are suspect at best!

I have been a good customer for 24 years. Not sure if the construction is wearing on them but the slice I waited on while they heated was cold with globby cheese, Nino was rude and the place was not clean. I won’t go back again.
