Food was fantastic. We tried a little bit of everything and were overall extremely pleased with the taste and freshness of the food. We came in later on a Monday night and the wait staff seemed pretty apathetic, but other than that it was a pleasant experience. The restaurant had a nice quiet feel. Full service bar with a lounge with comfy seating and tables for food and drinks. They also had an automated server that had a digitally animated cat head and several serving trays that brought the food out to the tables and even sang happy birthday for a celebrating guest while delivering a complimentary slice of desert. Never seen that before!

12/30/22 Delicious and inviting sushi restaurant on a busy street yet worth visiting once in a while. Best to visit during non-rush hours because it appears to be short-staffed. There was only 2 servers on site that evening observed. Our server had to be flagged down a few times for water refill but she was very polite. She checked on us only once.

A bit higher end on the price side, but you definitely get what you pay for. I’ll forever recommend the “surprise me” roll to anyone and everyone. It’s a specialty roll created by the chef that isn’t on the menu. Who doesn’t love a good surprise? Featured in the pics are two “surprise me” rolls from my visit.

First thing first, my partner and I stood at the front door for 9 minutes with 4 other people, 2 other parties before being sat. In that time, and even after being sat, nobody, not once greeted us. Said “hello” or “welcome in”.. nothing. Even with the manager sitting 10 feet away having a meeting with a new hire. Whom of which was interrupted by her staff saying the restaurant was busy, implying they needed her help. She ignored their request and continued the meeting for a couple more minutes. After being sat it took 10 minutes to put our drink order in and another 8 to receive the drinks (menus which were not properly cleaned). So, already a terrible experience… Our appetizer, Gyoza, was room temperature once it came out. One of the rolls we ordered tasted off and was removed from the bill. The sauces used were strong and overpowered the sushi. The bar drinks were strong, and the Pink Lotus specifically tasted like straight cheap vodka. Overall I highly recommend Wasabi East or Sushiya. Those two, hands down offer the best and freshest tasting sushi in town.

My first experience here last year wasn’t good, food was not tasty, left disappointed and promised to never return. Decided to give another try since husband wanted to. Second round the sushi was mediocre in taste. Sushi had undesirable amount of cheap filler (imitation crab mix) with the tiniest/thinnest slivers of actual fish. My sons bulgogi was made with very cheap cut of beef (traditional bulgogi is made with ribeye) had very large chunks of fat similar to pork belly (not marbled beef). Fat was over half of the dish. We were grossed out. Informed the waitress but she failed to do anything to make it right and pretty much didn’t care. Ninza definitely tries to cut corners to be as cheap as possible and it shows in the quality of their food. Will not be returning for sure. The only thing they have going for them is their robot machines but this does not make up for their terrible food and service. Will go to Sapporo next time.

Went here twice over the weekend. There’s so much to try on the menu just had to go again. Food was excellent, prices seemed a little high at first but the portions justified the prices. Service was friendly and the decor is really nice. New favorite sushi spot.

We enjoyed going to Ninza for years. Some days are better than others. When they had two sushi chefs only, even though the wait is long, we don’t mind. This weekend they had double the chef and our food arrived very quickly. We ate our quickly and didn’t pay attention. We thought some pieces didn’t taste very good. Halfway through our sashimi deluxe, I noticed that our salmon wasn’t looking too good. The sauce shouldn’t make the salmon that dark and why are there holes? We will probably not come back for awhile unfortunately.

This was a 3 stars before and now I’m rating it at 1. Did not get our drinks order until 10 mins later and it’s only water. Then another 10 min just to take our order for the appetizers. 20 mins later just to ask what’s for lunch. 40 mins before I can order. 2 servers and 6 tables.

Foid here is always amazing! The staff is always friendly and they’ve added a robot server that is awesome.

A sushi experience not to be missed! We tried 3 different rolls and the monkey brain appetizer. That’s the reason we went there initially. It sounded like something we had back in Albuquerque that we absolutely loved. We had the Under the Sea roll, the Black Hole roll, and the Scallop Crunch roll. The service was a bit slow, but they are really understaffed at the moment, so it completely makes sense. An absolutely wonderful experience that I can’t recommend enough.
