Ups and downs but overall a nice meal in Ridgewood. They have the tables so close, it feels like you are dining with strangers – we were being seated right next to another couple when there were plenty of empty seats elsewhere and had to insist on a different table which the host begrudgingly did. Funny thing was – the next 2 couples that came in did the same thing! But the food was overall good, especially the brussel sprouts and bang bang shrimp (in the picture here). Cute decor. Remember to BYOB (not really a speakeasy!)

First off, if you don’t know where the entrance is, you will have a tough time locating it. But that’s kinda what you want with a speakeasy, so bonus point for that. Atmosphere lived up to the hype, definitely got that hidden, speakeasy feel, which was great.

Where do I even start! From the outside. So I love the cool speakeasy vibe where the main entrance is hidden in an alley and you need a special door code to enter. Something totally different and unique for Ridgewood. Upon entering I was greeted by Zaid, he welcomed us in, was super police, warm and friendly! The lighting, decor, and music fit the vibe perfectly for the speakeasy theme. Definitely works for a first date spot as well if you kinda wanna take your date to an intimate spot.

A+ dining experience. So cool that you need a code to unlock the door. First off, it’s BYOB so plus points right there. We had oysters to start. They have a phenomenal selection of east coast to west oysters, be sure to try a variety! The menu changes weekly (good thing, because we will be frequent diners). It is mostly small plates but some plates are larger than others (chops, steaks, etc).

Had an amazing experience at No. 12. Jake was our server and made our night that much more enjoyable. Food was delicious and came out fast with reasonable prices. Made this reservation about a month in advance and was definitely worth the wait

Horrible experience with the service at this restaurant. The manager ruined our date night by not accepting our reservation (done on OpenTable and confirmed). We were 20 minutes late for the reservation as we walking around looking for the door! The concept of this restaurant is a hard to find speakeasy right?
