Great food, great people, great atmosphere. About a thousand foot walk from the truck stop so perfect for us truckers. There’s even a small space for truckers to park.

Good BBQ for those on the go . Good pork ribs, the brisket was a bit dry but it was still good. Awesome sausage . The green beans were delicious and the sweet potatoes were lip smacking good.

1st time going there I got the sausage and brisket a pound of each and a chopped beef sandwich the food was cut quickly and the. Brisket was very lean and everything was tender and tasted good. The place is something I will return to. I just wish barbecue hadn’t gotten so expensive I would eat more.

They got a 2 because only 2 of the 4 meats I tried were any good. The turkey was flavorful and somewhat juicy and the sausage was ok. The ribs came off the bone but were stiff and chewy with no flavor unless you dip it in the bbq sauce. The brisket was dry and no flavor. The portion I got for the price I paid was to high. I will try to post pics. I got 4 tiny pieces of brisket that would add up to 1 slice at other places. The turkey was just a little more. The sausage was ok and 2 decent size ribs but not great quality. Honestly it tasted like it had been reheated after sitting out all day the day before. I’ll stick with my other bbq places for now on. The cheese potatoes were good and the sweet potatoes need some brown sugar or something. Just dumped right out of the can and warmed up. My bread was to hard to try. Sorry but no thank you. Oh and a LG tea was over $4 but gave it to me for $3.50.

As a trucker that comes into Houston every week this little restaurant deserves the biggest praise. So you walk in and it is kinda like school grab your tray, the gentleman will ask you what you would like and trust me it is all mouth watering. He will make you smile and laugh while he is preparing the meats that again are beyond amazing. Then we get to the lady that will get you your sides ( DO THE BAKED POTATO), this lady is as equally going to make you smile and her humor is as warm as her smile. I have had the pleasure of eating here several times and again OMG I might leave the Houston area with a tear in my eye if I didn’t get a chance to stop in here. There is nothing at all but the highest praise for both the staff and the food.
