When I go to a Mexican restaurant, the servers always bring out salsa and tortilla chips. At Nom Nom, you have to order them. I am sure the food is amazing, based on the pictures I have seen. What I ate was good, but it just wasn’t filling. The ambiance is amazing! From the murals to the hanging plants and eye-popping corn and other dishes that were prepared with craft, care, and edible flowers, it is a unique experience that Lafayette has been waiting for.

I could say, this restaurant could definitely survive in a more competitive environment like Chicago. Flavorful seasoning. Everything is so balanced and full of surprises. This is not your “just” Mexican restaurant that serves “ordinary” tacos. It blows your mind!

Conveniently located in downtown Lafayette, this place is one of the best for eating Mexican food. The vibe is so amazing, the food is fantastic and even the murals are interesting to look at. I loved trying their nom nom mojito drink. Being a vegetarian I found plenty of options such as vegetarian tacos, rajas poblanos taco. I would totally recommend trying their Mexican Street corn from appetizers. The only thing that didn’t work for me was the Papas Locas fries from the appetizers, but that won’t color my opinion of how great this place is. Oh if you are a selfie person, don’t forget today a photo in their washrooms that’s the beautifully crafted faux plant wall. For non-vegetarians, my friends recommended fish ensenada tacos and shrimp tacos.

Amazing selection of tequila. Food was good, portions on the small side but I was full w 3 tacos. Loved the room.

A couple of really good dishes, a couple of so-so dishes. Very friendly staff. Unique interior decor. The high ceilings made for awkward acoustics where a room 1/4 full sounded much fuller.

Their service is 100, though I really wish there was an update and upgrade in the food especially since they are charging more. To be gourmet your food quality should be gourmet too. This place has so much potential but the quality has declined since when they 1st opened. The tortilla fell apart when I bit into the tacos … Needs more of the rough edges of México. Will return and hoping for big improvements

Food was hands down top notch. And we ordered an arrangement of items.

Once seated we waited a very long time between visits with our waiter and to even get this person to the table to take drink orders. Seemed not as interested in our care taking as other tables with bigger parties. Missed bringing an item that I requested more of to the table, or taking care of a to go order as well. I was disappointed in this part. The restaurant is beautiful and food was very good, other than our service really sucked.

I’ve been wanting to try place for several months. Went with some friends a few weeks back. It was packed. Waiter asked us to be patience as it was hella busy we obliged. But 30m later not a chip or piece of lemon let alone water in site. My friend had to wave the waiter over. When he made it to the table it was if tho we had refreshed his memory that he had us waiting. He took all the of our orders and we waited another 20+ minutes for our drinks. I had the mangonada could not taste a lick of liquor at all. My friends enjoyed their drinks. 10m later he brings out our appetizers then a few mins after that some chips. Another table was seated and received prompt service and their food and drinks came out quickly. My friend and I all ordered a quesadilla with different meat. Instant disappointment food was bland and gave more tortilla than meat. Just awkward to eat overall. The rice was well I wouldn’t feed it to my dog if I had one. 10 outta 10 WOULD NOT RECOMMENDED…this place. Service was horrible (we still tipped ) food was disgusting and overpriced for the portions. They made my friend pay for chips and salsa like where they do that at. Never seen a restaurant make u pay for chips. Between the 3 of us we spent Abt $100 plus a additional tip. They ain’t gotta worry about us… coming back ever… Not sure how they are still in business TBH. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worse enemy
