This restaurant is the oldest dim sum restaurant in NYC. Year 1920. The egg rolls were really good. You can actually see the filling is wrapped with eggs! The food came out fast and was delicious. My oldest loved the bacon wrapped shrimp!

Every item was delicious! They have a small dim sum selection from what I’m used to. I went on a Friday afternoon and surprisingly there was no lineup. Fast service. They only accept Amex and cash. The dumplings have a lot of filling. I really liked it.

The best is the ambience and the speed of the waiters to serve you. The place is located in a very peculiar street in Chinatown that could be the object of a 70’s NY movie I liked the flavors of the soup and dumplings. There is a queue of people before getting in, my recommendation is to arrive early to make sure you find seats

10/10 would recommend. Everything was amazing and well worth the wait. Prices were super reasonable as well. CASH Only! We had the Shrimp Siu Mai, the Pan Fried Noodles, the Shanghainese Pork Dumplings and the Spring Rolls. Would get this exact order every time and would be in contention for a “Last Meal” option.

Dim sum tastes as good as frozen dim sum. I don’t understand how this restaurant is so highly rated. The noodles were soggy and bland. Had to wait in line outside in the summer heat, totally not worth the wait. Such an overrated restaurant and really unfriendly service.

Dishes were a hit or miss. I’d recommend the house dumpling, radish cake, and chicken feet. Definitely skip the milk tea – it had no tea flavor. Our bill was high for dim sum.

Haven’t been here in a few years and it has gotten more busy and there’s definitely a lot more tourists here. But the food is great. Don’t let the awning outside fool you. The food is still good and priced reasonably. You check off what you want on a sheet. And they bring the food out. Also they only take cash or Amex. We had to wait so expect to stand in line for a bit. Large groups is not a good idea. I would say 4 people max. Just stand in the line and someone will out to you. No need to go inside and put your name down. My wife loves the chicken feet. I enjoyed the pork bun and the soup dumplings.

Dim sum was good – not the best but still quite good. Beef rice roll was tasty but the rice roll part was a tad too thick. Har gow was good, skin was med thickness. Sui Mai was run of the mill – kind of tough but still ok. Our order of fried shrimp balls didn’t arrive at our table so we had to ask for it after we were basically done the other dishes (hence photographed separately). They were good tho. Price is ok for this neighborhood. Love the old school atmosphere. Cash and American Express only. Long lines but it moves steadily – make a reservation if you can to avoid the queuing.

The customer service at this fine establishment is impeccable. On July 4th weekend (2022), my girlfriend unfortunately lost her wallet. Being in the big apple, we knew it was gone forever. Now fast forward 3.5 months into the future, and she receives a first-class USPS package delivered at her doorstep. Lo-and-behold! She carefully opened this mystery package, and to her delight, her wallet was inside! All of her credit cards and even cash were still there, untouched. The return label was addressed to “Nom Wah.” We thank you, Nom Wah, for being so amazing. The food was pretty good, too.

Came here feeling very hungry and full of optimism. Alas, the authentic exterior only serves to accentuate the average quality of food. Most of the classic dishes seem to be done differently and tasted differently.
